So I have recently ventured into the wonderful world of Hardcore, and have been loving the experience. I've just hit 60(11) with my barb. I've been scrounging for cash, trying my luck on some crafts, and basically buying the cheapest stuff I can get that will keep me alive. This weekend I used the HC contacts list to meet up with a few guys who are really cool to play with. The HC community is great.
Anyway, being strapped for cash and only being able to run act 1 on mp1, I was super happy when a skeleton in the Jar of Souls quest dropped a Grand Vizier which I sold for 3.5mil. It is my biggest find and biggest sale to date! I know some of you guys sell things for hundreds of millions, but to me this was like finding a gold mine
I also found a pair of Boj Anglers with 130 dex while helping friends level. I couldn't find a better pair on the AH, so I've put them up for sale and hoping for some extra cash to continue my HC progress. Good luck and happy farming to all of you!
Well, I managed to put that double drop to good use yesterday, as MrKaxe's IRL friend had a pretty new barb in our game, which I was able to pimp out with those two IK parts as well as some spare shoulders. So hurray for double drops
With so much Crit Damage already from the Skorn and it being a black (if I interpret the term properly ) weapon wouldn't you probably be better off putting a big ruby in it?

Yes, only the 'black' part is affected by +x% to elemental damage on for example SOJs. Gratz on the Skorn!
On the ruby, you can calculate added damage: 160 x (% increased damage on weapon) x (weapon APS). Ideal for a Ruby is a fast weapon with high % increased damage, +elemental damage does not help the ruby.
My weapon I'd only used for 2 days before dying (sigh) had 50% incr. DPS and 1.48 aps, so 160 x 1.5 x 1.48 = 355 addition to DPS, so it went from 1148 to 1504. Since a Skorn has insane base damage and slow APS, I think an emerald is usually the best choice.
Finally found something worth posting on here. I had an amazing day for finds yesterday. I found the mainhand and offhand for the Manajumu Witch Doctor set! Both items dropping in the space of 2 hours. Anyway for me any set drop is cause for great celebration so I was fist pumping before I even saw any of the rolls. I didn't get spectacular rolls on either item and unfortunately didn't role a socket on the Main Hand but I did manage to roll Lifesteal!!
I did a bit of due diligence on the AH and felt like around the 15 million mark would be hitting a bit of a market sweet spot as well as making me on par with the price of slightly worse daggers. The plan was set. I listed my most expensive auction of my D3 career and went off to bed. This morning I jumped up straight away to check. 12,500000 gold pieces sat waiting for me! Biggest sell for me in D3 yet!!
It took countless hours but I finally managed to get back to level 11 Paragon after my last barbarian deeded and I found my 1st Leg at level 11 para and as expected its a worthless Sledge of Athskeleng ...
Oompie, those stats! Pity about the dmg, but it is sweet seeing over 500 str on a single item
So, I have recently managed to get my previously pretty slow-farming barb into a sword and board whirlwinder with around 75k dps and farming is going much much faster.
This morning I was farming alone, literally the last pack of mobs left in Weeping Hollow and i see my very first legendary helm drop. The model on the floor looked like something crap, so I was ready to identify my brimstone. Imagine my surprise when I opened my inventory to a freshly dropped Mempo. 170 dex, 9%ias. Got a fire res roll (unfortunately not one of those insane crit chance mempos), but perfect for the Demon Hunter I am trying to get to 60
