    I almost died in A1 inferno today on my barb. I´m way overgeared so i´m farming with offensive passives and a pretty DPSy gear. Wotb on cooldown in Den of the Fallen and get walled stuck and chainfrozen by a frozen/waller/desec/arcane pack. Safe to say I´ve never come this close to dying yet.

    Frozen arcane are indeed the bane of many, but luckily you survived!

    I myself almost got killed yesterday, I had 890 hp left (got a nice achievement though). It happened because I met an arcane, waller, horde in act 3 hell. I'm overgeared with my lvl 60 barb, 850 dps weapon and 250+ resistance but hell, my healthbar was going down quickly!

    Almost died this morning. Waaay overgeared for A1, farming it super fast, meet a pack of berserkers near butcher exit, forgot that my eq is on CD, went in and got suck in a corner. Popped IP and WOTB, but they weren't dying fast enough for whatever reason. Then I see 3x Desec under me. Paused game and assessed the situation. 1.5 sec off FC cooldown. Took a deep breath, unpaused and spammed it. Left the corner with around 10% life left (obviously leeched more when charged).

    Lesson is: even if overgeared, some packs are inherently dangerous: Unburied, Berserkers and Beasts in A1. Wraiths, Berserkers, Fallen Masters, Lacuni Warriors and Snakes in A2.

    A3 hell with my witch doctor, grouped with a monk friend. We were out in the fields fighting some heralds of pestilence (always annoying) when a bunch of winged moloks added from the sky (as they are wont to do). Okay no big deal, we keep focusing on the HoPs... then a champion pack of winged moloks also added from the sky. Illusionist, frozen, jailer.

    The sheer number of fireballs flying around the screen from the non-elites, the elites, and the illusions was amazing, but then I got jailed, broke it with spirit walk, got frozen and blasted with fireballs, spirit vessel went off, and I booked it for the waypoint, blowing a health potion and spirit walk again as soon as it cooled down.

    Definitely the closest I've gotten to dying so far.

    nearly bought the farm today, just made it back into hell with my DH after having to re-level, got to the cathedral in act 1, came across a champ pack which i wasn't doing enough damage to, which had the awful combo of waller and frozen! didn't notice the 3rd, didn't care afterwards!

    i don't know why i didn't run for it sooner (as my previous 2 DH's that made it to hell, died because i was trying to advance too quick) but stood, well kited and tried to fight them down.

    got chain walled and jailed in (how are they casting wall so quick??!) in a very tiny corridor and even after using up my prep, i had nothing available and got frozen but luckily enough disc regenerated for a vault so i vaulted... right next to the pack, argh!

    i decided that i should just make a break for it, i couldn't go back the way i came and just ran/vaulted (*hugs tactical advantage*) into the unknown hoping i wouldn't run into another champ pack, thankfully nothing was there, i gave myself what i thought was enough distance and started the nervous TP wait.

    as i TP'd out, i could see the frozen orbs being cast at the edge of my screen so they couldn't have been that far behind me, tac advantage saved my bacon today, good thing to as i've always had it.

    First NDE Nightmare 21k hp, 3k dps lvl 49 act 4 . Right before the waypoint for diablo i encountered a group of fire chains, nightmarish Corrupted Angels. I'll keep it short but you can imagine getting zipped past, slowed then having three sets of chains proc on you while I'm slowed... I ran/teled away a few times with <900 hp and only survived ecause of a little bit of run speed and a few choice teleports (was running for so long my TP was avilable 5-6 times!


    2nd NDE was Hell act 1 as a wizard.. Lvl 51 now. Just started and encountered my first goblin looking for Cain. I ran after the goblin and pulled a room of zombies and bats... Including a four pack of Waller, hp bats with Nightmare. Needless to say I was greedy and tried for the goblin. After almost dying twice I decided to make a run for it. Running for it I kept getting feared into the walls and surrounded. Only thing that kept me alive and hurt me at the same time was getting doubled walled. After a minute of fighting I got. Ack to my entry point (no exit, I forgot I fell through the roof) I tried to TP. No dice he got me at the last moment... So I made a last stand and after another minute of slamming tele for orbs, spamming the hp button I finally killed them.... For a lvl 40 blue piece of garbage!

    I proceeded to hit the AH and stop for the night . I'm thinking that my abilities need to change now that I'm in hell.

    Energy armour, weapon enchant with 2% knock back, teleport with 30% less dmg taken, diamond skin (extra dmg taken), electric orb as a free spell and disintegrate with nexus

    Act 2 NM somewhere in the sewers on my lvl 40 monk. Fire chains + vortex champ pack of snakes pulled me in and all the chains seemed to instantly hit at once. potted, ran away and managed to hit serenity the next time I got sucked in and didn't notice that a couple of reviled were now body blocking me in the snake fire chain pit. Kung fu kicked the reviled in the face and managed to get JUST around a corner with <5% life when I see the poor templar get vortexed back in and figure that it is deeds time. I somehow only got pulled to the corner of the wall and not all the way back into the snakes. After a quick dash to the nearby waypoint and back to town to heal up, those snakes got their comeuppance.

    Act 1 inferno with my barb - got cocky with the unique skeleton pack at the cathedral (just outside the 3 mini dungeons). I steamrolled this pack many times in the past and leapt into them. These were Horde, Arcane, Nightmarish(?), Plagued(?). I got pinned against a wall by 8 skeles that all cast arcane at the same time. Leap on cooldown as the death beams started sweeping around. Wrath, potion, revenge, and somehow survived long enough to leap out a few seconds later - flashing red and running for my life!

    Bad mistake to use an escape skill to engage a group - even a group that normally poses no challenge...

    Yep, that's how my last barb died. Engaged with a charge :/

    Came about as close to getting deeds without actually getting it yesterday - and twice in once fight. Was in the Act I Inferno goatmen cave and had five stacks running. Saw a treasure goblin. Normally I would leap past him and try to chase him back where I already cleared but that didn't work and he ran deeper into the cave. I got cocky and chased after him, and chased him right into a pack of spear throwing goats that had arcane, nightmare, desecrate and hoarde. I killed the goblin right at the dead end where the monument for returning to the entrance was. I wasn't in trouble yet because I actually chased the goblin past the elite pack (and yeah I know this is breaking all the rules). Well when I popped the goblin the pack had caught up with me. I had never seen horde before. All those extra minions all chucking those spears and causing me fear as a major pain. I was pretty much keeping me in fear almost constantly, and in tight spaces. I immediately startded trying to make evasive action back towards the entrance but the constant fear was making it almost impossible. The first time I got the red screen I hit a potion and tried like hell to leap out of there. But instead of leaping out I just leaped up and didn't go anywhere. Well crap now my leap is on CD. Red screen and my orb looks litterally empty, I am sure this is deeds. Suddenly, my Templar charges in and stuns everybody and heals me (just under 5K health I think it is). This gives me the chance to run out of their but the pack is still hot on my tail and doing damage. Again, my orb gets down to pretty much nothing as I'm running back to the entrance. Just in the nick of time, my Templar heals me again. That is twice for sure he saved my life because when I finally got back to the cave level 1 my orb was just about clear again.

    Now, the yellows from that goblin were still at that dead end. And, as is my custom, I had an unused Frenzy shrine sitting near the entrance to level 2 of the cave. Never use a shrine unless I really need to. So, once my hands stop shaking, I hit that Frenzy shrine and go back and take care of unfinished business. That was still a pretty major fight, but I took care of the pack and claimed my prizes. One of the rares actually turned out pretty well, a ring with Str Vit & AR (screenie posted in the Found a What thread). I earned that one!

    That's the 2nd and 3rd time my Templar has saved this barb's life. His Guardian skill saved my bacon another time I got trapped by some of those big fatties in one of the Cemetary crypts. Got stuck in a corner and tried to leap out and because of the tight spaces my leap didn't work went into CD. Got my orb down to a sliver and he charged in and stunned 'em and I got away.
