Good work! Now we just need to keep working on the Blizzard sorc of yours and you'll have a full set of characters to rock with.
I was using:
shako
random ammy
hoto
viper (didnt wanna risk my enigma on him just yet)
3x trang pieces
idk what rings and idk what boots.
I was low on +skills I know and only one facet in the shield. He was about lvl 77 iirc and I was planning on making him a pit runner, but I'm not even sure i got him up that high in act 1. He's completely de-geared since I wanted some of his stuff for other characters. Like I said, shelved until i get a Dweb or some other piece of gear that makes me want to play him again. I was probably wanting more +skills and/or -res so sojs or some skillers probably, dont really remember.
^During the mfo I found a + 3 nova wand that was 2 socketed. This is my weapon of choice for Novamancers, as I too didn't have DWeb. If you're interested you can have it. It also had 2 other skills on it, though I don't remember if they were useful or not, which means they probably were meh.
Brussel sprout?! That's some serious biological weapons. I thought those were outlawed! Call the United Necromancers (UN)!
Nice job Fred. I know NF was keen on the Poisonmancer as a Trav runner. Did you ever consider using Fire Golem? Never dies to hydras and when he walks out the door and back to you, its a signal that the coast is clear. Go in' collect runes and repeat.
@CDM my Poisonmancer uses Hoto for Pit Runs and it works really well. HF merc, clay golem , Najs Puzzler for collecting the team together, max block. I run with Amp as main curse so that CE brings the house down once HPs have been lowered via PN.
Nope, I didn't actually consider the Fire Golem. It does sound interesting though. However, Gumby actually doesn't have any problems surviving. When he dies, it's usually in the very end of the runs, so that doesn't really matter. And to the "coast is clear" thing: also not anything I've had problems with. Normally I can see if everything is dead and even if there's one left I can just run in and fire off a couple of novas and he's dead. I still think I might try the fire golem out, though.
Cool character. I'm very pleased to see an item I likely never would have used getting such good use by someone else. May you see a shower of Chams (I think they drop in Trav), Jahs and Bers (and no deeds!) in your continued endeavours.
Grats! The poisonmancer build was so fun, it is one of the few I continued playing after Guardian'ing. So odds are you'll enjoy him too! Have fun, and good luck finding them runes!
