would this card cut it or am i looking at paying more?
cheers for any advice
As much as know about graphic cards that one might be weaker than yours. First digit is generation, then class (like performance-value-budget etc), then next digit is also related to how powerful it is. For eg. I have a 6770 and they say it's pretty much same as 4770 just newer (so it can do directx 11 which is not really performance related anyway, i'm not sure where it matters really).
If I were you I'd get a x770 or x850 I think.
I upgraded recently to an i5 cpu as well, but the game seems to have performance problems lagging sometimes, as far as i can see it should not lag on my pc at all. It's d3 not an mmo with super graphics and 100 people around.
If it works on lower settings you may as well wait with the upgrade unless money burns your pockets.
I guess your computer will rune D3 fine. I don't know about your gfx card, but I think it's better than my Geforce 9800GT and it runs smoothly at 1920x1200*, except I fiddle around with the gfx settings.
* The game itself probably works at a lower resolution, so I guess it's just scaled up to that size, which probably doesn't stress the gfx card.

You know I'm born to lose / and gambling is for fools / but that's the way I like it, baby / I don't want to live forever!
I'd advice you to try out the game first and then upgrading to the 6450 if you want better performance in the game.
Then again, it's "only" 32 pounds. Your other specs should be able to handle it though.
