I'm getting sick and tired of all the spam. Start a new game and you instantly have no less than 5 spambots furiously spamming ads for their websites. Not only is it annoying it also tends to block actual players from the game. Ultimately it ruins the fun, because one of the best part about D2 is that you had to go find your own gear and trade it with others in order to complete your builds and characters. However as it is now, people can just "cheat" by purchasing all their stuff from these websites. Most of it is likely to be duped as well. It also lags the servers and causes innocent players to get a temporary ban which is not okay.

But blizzard does not care and this problem have been there for years!! We need to do something about it collectively otherwise Blizzard will never listen and take action.

I hate to be a debbie downer, but with Diablo 3 out now, it's not as if they'll have any time to deal with DII. I've given up on b.net anyway though.

IMHO the game is still playable at Battle Net with all of the messages filtered. There's just nothing you can do about it. The bots have been spamming in games for many years. So I think Blizzard won't fix this problem as the problem has been here for many years.
