So, even though I've used the AH somewhat extensively the past week, I just now noticed that 99% of the gear listed (and I seriously don't think that's an exaggeration) is either less than 2 hours old, or less than 1 or 2 hrs from expiring, even w/ specific filters on.
I guess this would explain why most of my gear doesn't sell after the first couple hours of posting. ...Although I have had things sell between the 3-46 hour area, I believe. But it seems to be extremely rare and happened when AH wasn't so flooded.
But in regards to showing me either expiring or brand new items, is this a feature for a particular reason? Bug? Odd coincidence?
I never thought about that, but it does seem to be true.
Did a quick look through and I could only find items that were expiring in either 1d 23h or <30m
its ****ed - traders are stuck with dead inventory for the full span of the auction. not to mention when you add 2 days values change. i know a bunch of guys who have lost a lot of 'money' due to this silliness. quite frankly i'm shocked at how pathetic the ah has turned out to be, hopefully they get it together.
I have an auction ending in an hour that isn't listed. So it's not limited to fresh and about to end. Items are just plain not being listed. This is really annoying, because there is nothing we can do to fix it with the set 2 day duration that can't be canceled. I have inventory backing up that I can't list, and might not even get listed once I put it up. I price my items below market to move them out fast unless it is something really amazing, but it doesn't matter how low I price them if no one can see them.
This might explain why the items that I've sold were sold in the first 30 minutes or so after listing. I try to list most of my items quite cheap, but they don't seem to get noticed.
