Every time I open Diablo 3 the blizzard game launcher updates. I have to wait till it finishes (100%) before I can play the game. I thought it would just do this once, but it keeps doing it every time I start the game. Why is that? anyone know?
Probably because it scans to see if there are updates, and possibly other check-ups like making sure your game files are ok (not tampered with or corrupted). You may be able to bypass the launcher by adding a switch to the shortcut but I wouldn't advise it. How long does it take to get to 100% when you launch the game ? It takes less than 2 seconds for me, so it's not a big deal.
Oh ok. For me it takes about 5-10 mins, i dont think its checking whether I have the recent updates or not. Its more like its updating everytime I play D3. And this only happened with the recent update. Its weird.
