I really prefer the immobilize rune. In inferno it seems like most champs practically ignore the caltrops, and it's even worse if you don't have immobilize.
If you're dead set on switching to CE, I'd give up archery, but I'm not convinced it's worth it.
EDIT:
Enable Elective Mode in the game options and you can mix and match the skills to your liking.
ahh okay thanks for the heads up. ill try once the servers are back up -_-
I'm surprised no one likes spike trap. 270% aoe weapon damage with the rune to drop 3 is pretty much carrying me through act 2 inferno at the minute.
I just can't get caltrops to work for me at all. It's not enough for any extended period of kiting, and not really required for anything else. Might be worth revisiting when I have more disc tho.
My current build

Not really set on a prep rune and displacement is just for making Butcher runs a bit faster.
You NEED as many smoke screens as possible for act 4. Idk how you could play without them because mobs dont get slowed for very long and caltrops take away from your smoke screens.
The night stalker point is valid but I crit so damn much that it regens a lot of disc for those O CRAP situations. Coupled with impale's knockback and stun I feel pretty well equipped to only die every half hour.
I soloed act 1 and 2 inferno(I am in act3) with a trap build. Itīs different than the typical glass cannon, but itīs really fun and youīll be able to kill elites/champions quite easily. Also I was using a 900+ dps one handed crossbow with discipline(you need a lot 50 or more is ideal) and ca. 1000 hp leech pr hit.
The interesting thing I discovered was that caltrops(jagged spikes) spike traps also healed me when monsters went over them, which works amazingly, since I rarely use any potions and as a matter of fact I could tank diablo in hell by putting caltrops under him, but forget about that in act 2 and 3 inferno :d

This is my inferno build:

I'm solo farming act 3 inferno atm with about 70k dps, 36k hp, 23% crit, 100% crit dmg total, 2.5 attacks per second. I use this build not because it's the best, but because I just find it fun and cool to play. It's exactly how I like to play and am happy it's actually viable. I advise people to find builds they love to play even if it is not the best.
Evasive Fire:
I absolutely love Evasive Fire. It is by far my favorite skill in the game and I feel it is very underrated. It has a couple of really good things working for it: First of all it doesn't have a travelling projectile it hits instantly, mobs will not be able to dodge the hit and runed with Covering Fire you get to hit 3 mobs at the same time. Secondly it hits things through some obstacles and walls made by elites or champions, you can use this to your advantage in corridors when mobs cant get past their own wall and you can still keep hitting them. Finally, when mobs get close you have that nice backflip, you have to be careful not to get caught into a corner though since it will burn your discipline. I also just really like how it looks with the whole sonic boom looking graphic.
Rapid Fire:
I use this mainly for high dps on solo targets. Runed with Web Shot it causes a nice slow to keep the nasties away. Just like evasive fire I think it looks awesome.
Fan of knives:
When a pack tends to get close and you dont have enough tiem to kill them with evasive fire you can use this for some instant high dmg. I use the hail of knives rune to be able to hit mobs sooner and not have them come too clos and works well in combination with Rain of Vengeance
Rain of Vengeance:
You might have noticed that I have Rain of Vengeance unruned. I actually really like how it works without the rune and how it looks. I don't like the shadow beasts that come along with the runes. It is also nice that it has no discipline or hatred cost.
Smoke Screen:
Well this doesn't really need any explanation. Runed with Lingering Fog for some more breathing room. I actually had Shadow power before it got replaced with this, but life steal is kind of pointless when things just one shot you.
Preparation:
Preparation runed with Backup Plan. More smoke screening is always good.
For passives:
Steady Aim:
Not much to say about this
Archery:
I use a bow, cause I think it looks cool and I prefer the 15% dmg increase.
Hot Pursuit:
I really like this skill. Combined with movement spreed% on boots it's a great tool for kiting and firing off evasive fire shots. Also since evasive fire is your bread and butter for this build your gonna be at full hatred about 80% of the time.
