    Farming Hell (looking for feedback)

    Current build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...RkP!ZeU!YccZbZ

    Current stats: http://i.imgur.com/Ymmyr.jpg

Hi guys, I've got a TON of money to raise to improve my gear and hopefully have a shot at playing through Inferno, and I'd like to get some feedback to maximize my gold per hour. I got 3-shotted by a friggin' Quill Fiend in Inferno so CLEARLY there is work to be done in Hell before I can proceed :P

I'd really appreciate some feedback on:
    - Stats (It's like 500k to upgrade any of my items by a small margin at this point, but I'll try...)
    - Builds (Obviously mine's not the best, it's just what works for me. I'm open to trying new builds, though.)
    - Farming procedure (Act/Quest/Route/bother with breakables?/etc)

    Thanks

You lack resistances. Swap War cry rune to impunity and you already then might see some small improvement. You would need to get minimal 300 each resistance with wry cry on to be successful in Inferno Act1.

Yeah, the Impunity rune is one consideration, although I do like not having to hunt down health globes - but in Inferno I'll probably have to.

I got a nice belt for 120k with more Str/Vit than I had, and +25 to resistances - but that brings up another question - what is the minimum resists you look for on a piece of gear? I had a much, much cheaper option which was +18 all resists, but I figured, it's just gold, might as well get the better item.

At the moment I'm just farming the last part of Act 1 (the miniboss followed by the act boss usually give me 5-6 rares, and there are lots of elite packs down there) with Cleave, Whirlwind, and Sprint. Feels good to stop trying to be so 'competitive' and just kick ***! Even though I'm overgeared for this part of Hell, the income's not bad :P

If you got a good weapon I would use a berserker rage build for hell difficulty. The damage you will do will be extremly high. Can do full berserker rage builds in many variations, this one I have played some and is fun. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...YVi!gbc!YZaZca

A full fury globe will come quick. Only spender is battle rage everything else increases fury. The damage you do is 30% battlerage(runed)+30% brawler+25% berserker rage+cleave with damage rune 156%. Other attack is spammable charge( runed -cooldown per mob hit) and ofc revenge with provocation.
Don't think you really need warcry for hell. Especially since you have knockback charge, stomp, 400% armor leap and revenge hp.

Unless ofc you are in need of a build for inferno.

If you simply add all resist gear any build you're using will work.

Not that I can survive easily on inferno, but maybe this input can help you a bit:

I have only 7.5k damage and 27k life on my barb and I do not get 3-shotted in inferno because of my resistances which are a little over 200. You could use ground stomp with wrenching smash and use the iron impact rune on leap. Consider using the inspiring presence passive to make up for your rune switch on war cry. Maybe try bloodthirst as you seem to do nice damage.
I personally also like rend+cleave (can also give you some life back). In your current build you seem to be lacking an AOE attack, which is kinda essential (or do you use frenzy as AOE'ish? I always suck at using that skill).

By no means this is the only way to be succesful, but maybe you can give some of it consideration.

Getting my resists a bit higher helped a lot, but elite Unburied at the end of Act 1 Inferno are brutal xD

    42k HP
    13k damage
    ~200 resists

If your asking me, I would say that your resists are way, way to low. I would build those up to the 200+ level. These are critical in Hell/Inferno-even stipulated by the Bliz devel team on a variety of YouTube videos. Leap Attack is a must IMO. Additionally, as the poster above suggests-your AOE needs to be improved ALOT. Post back.

You'll still need crazy damage to pass the butcher.

He's a dps test and you must get him down fast. Faster than is reasonable without 10k plus I'm guessing.

Re: Farming Hell (looking for feedback)

I stomped Act 1 Inferno with a few expensive upgrades, then immediately died to a Sand Wasp

I'm going to start farming Inferno, Hell is too autopilot and the drops suck. Any suggestions?

My stats with War Cry (Impunity) are:

    42k Life
    11k DPS
    8k Armor
    Resists: 269-392 across the board

I actually got my DPS up to 16k but traded a bit to take +Armor over +Strength for survivability :P
