Ahhh... Ok ... Havn't read the book(s) yet...

That means there's four possible mainarcs counting as possible in my estimation. And four is shine.

There's definitely a few directions they can go with this. My gut tells me one of them involves Maltheal. They talk about his disappearance way too much over the course of D3 to just leave it as passing lore.

I'm hoping there's at least two expansions.

Oh, Tyrael IS the prime of the prime evils.

- he (it?) directly interferes the mortal world, although it is forbidden
- even after the whole soulstone-idea becomes apperantly failed, makes the hero of D1 to his doom, thus strenghtening and finally freeing Diablo
- manages to help free Baal
- manages to trust Baal's soulstone to an agent of evil (Marius)
- manages to leave Baal's soulstone fall into Baal's hand
- destroys the freakin' Worldstone for all sakes! (maybe the whole works of the chief evils was nothing but Tyrael's plan to manage destroying The Worldstone!)
- looses the wings, thus BECOMES A FALLEN ANGEL, like Izual

I'm pretty sure the Prophet is Inarius. It's from the Sin War books.

Inarius can't be the prophet the enchentress mentions, the dates just don't add up.

The enchantress is 1500 years old and Inarius was turned over to Mephisto 4000 years ago.

Agreed. "Prophet" is a fairly generic name. There's no reason two angels couldn't have used it over the millenia.
