    Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no rune called "Boon Of Protection" anymore ?
    I'm new to Monk and was trying different builds that you guys recommend. I'm level 36 Act 2 Nightmare-Hardcore.
    What Mantra and rune are you using now instead of the MOH/BOP ?

    for now i am only using FOT with no rune, killed SK this morning without much issue. I might move up to the teleport run if it becomes to hard. next jump after that would be breathe of heaven+rune for extra healing, but i wouldn't expect to need that until mid a2 or so. possibly in a3 when things start to get harder i might try FOT + tele/BoH + extra heal/MoH+ increase LPS or something.

    The main thing is I don't want to lose this character as it is a remake, but I do want to see how far gear can carry a character with essentially no skills or passives. Currently I am only using stashed or gear crafted while leveling. Unsure of what I want to do with gems, as I do have a +190 life per hit gem, but I feel that would be very over kill.

    I was using mantra of conviction + overawe, but I like to play very offensively. Monsters taking extra 48% dmg is very nice

    What about the primary spirit generator for Inferno act 1? FoT or Deadly reach (keen eye) ? Or another?

    FoT is great but I am concerned with plague/desecrator/molten and so on... jumping inside means taking a lot of damage, whereas with Deadly reach one can kite and stay outside or molten/plague etc reach ! Plus when I use Earth ally, it tanks (in hell) and I dps.

    I'm thinking about dropping Earth ally for Tempest rush with +25% mvt speed to escape when surrounded or trapped between walls. Also I don't know whether to pick Resolve or Transcendance...

    I really like deadly reach, and normally use the damage buff rune. I prefer offense over defense, but that is my play style.

    As for resolve, it does not reduce elites mobs special abilities such as plague desc arcane molten frozen, so that might persuade you into transcendence.

    Does the concussion rune in crippling strike also not work on abilities?
    Further does that rune stack with resolve?

    Pretty sure resolve and the crippling wave rune that debuffs damage has NO effect at all on Champ abilities such as Desecrate, Plague, Arcane Sentry etc. The Crippling Wave rune and resolve passive DO stack, but like every damage reduction thing in the game such as from armor, resistances, and being a melee hero, it is all 'multiplicative' and not additive. This is also why String of Ears is good/godly when starting out in Act 1 inferno, but once you get a really good +armor/res all/main stat+vitality belt ilvl 61+ it outshines even a perfect 20% string of ears.

    Multiplicative stacking is fine. But as you say it makes sense that resolve/concussion dont work on abilities as when you die from them it says "died from arcane sentry" or similar indicating that they are a separate type of monster (one that can not be debuffed)
