@Demoric, looks like a solid build, but you may find that pulling large groups of mobs towards you is a bad idea in the later difficulties. I am finding mobility is the key to survival. I have been using my seven-sided strike as a way to get a breather or avoid damage (arcane, molten, etc.), more than as DPS against rare/champions.

I am also going to be aiming for more like 10k hp Act 2 NM coop play after dying last night, solo is fine for slogging along, but coop play requires more of a buffer due to the increased mob difficulty.
@demoric your build is cool, like you and vit said, just gotta work on approach abit.
this is the build i used to solo from SK to act2 of inferno

found the base idea (or most of it) on the monk forum here, and fell in love with it.
hold on tight and keep swinging. panic is the first step to failure. illusion are the only thing that have trapped me, pop serenity if taking massive dmg, pop mantra, kill the illusions, move.
of course, it's a challenge to get trapped in a1.
i got at least another week before a2.
Does anyone know btw if the damage from sweeping wind causes resolve to proc? Just wondering since ive been running around thinking that it will but i dont see alot of people using it in their builds. While it is pretty amazing if you ask me, free 25% reduction.
hello, i just finished act 1 nightmare with my monk, im a quite offensive player, but this did not get me in any troblue untill now, im lvl 38 i have around 9k health, and 1.3k dps, 46% dmg reduction from armor, this is the build i use at the moment:

i am playing with 2x 1h wepons, seeing what people said above about 500 dps, makes me feel a bit overly agressive, i would appreciate any criticism, and or tips about what to do inorder to not die further ahead. I saw ppl in trade saying that monks have to use 1h + shield inorder to survive, but i dont seem to have any survavibility problems, for now atleast.
Looks solid I am tempted to test out dual wield and the guardians path passive on my restart since part of the problem i ran into in NM act 2 was too low of a DPS, I found 8k too low of Life as well, not sure if 9k is enough of an improvement. How high is your Dodge at including your passive bonus? I expect that the issue with Shield versus Dodge is that after a bit you can get a shield with good blocking and having two seperate checks is better than one with the RNG.
i'll answer when i manadge to get past error 37 :(
trying out this build currently in Normal Act 3, with 4500 Life 800 Armor and Dodge of 39% Damage of 320

Seems to be doing okay, not sure I would run this in NM, but for a restart with good gear/weapons it works great in Normal
i have 37.5 dodge, i dont know if the 15% from the passive skill is incuded or not, but if its not the dodge chance is 52.5.
if its not included, imo the dodge mantra becomes a bit useless, since i guess u benefit more from regen.
