no beeps either, i was waiting for those since the manual mentioned them...
its looking like ill have to return the motherboard.
Yep it may be a bad mobo, it happens even with the best brands. Silly question, but just to be sure, have you used the standoffs to mount your motherboard in your chassis ? Some people forget them...
used them too. i put the thing together step by step using the instructions for the tower when it came to installing the board, i did that step by step by it's directions. looks like my wait to play D3 is gonna be longer.
Er...question...
Are the fans turning at all? What happens when you press the power button? Hard disk activity normal etc?
yeah the fans lit up and spun, power button worked, everything except getting a picture. I'm hoping they get the motherboard soon so they can ship out a new one so i have it before next weekend. Ive had D3 sitting here for over a month not played, tis a sad thing...
The bright side is that by the time you can play it you won't have to deal with all the issues it had/has.
It wasn't about Newegg not being up to par. It was about some discount prebuilds from Cyberpower that had bad hardware and lots of RMAs, and I adviced OP to avoid those. They were being sold on Newegg and thatīs all there is to that story. Newegg in itself is the goto place for buying hardware.
Your opinion on AMD cards are yours to keep. Way too onesided and simplified. The fact that AMD is stopping the monthly driver update, is too actually avoid feeding the trolls, taking a done when it's done stance instead. But AMD driver issues has been a myth that was buried like, a decade ago.
For the last generations, AMD has been the technically most advanced cards, having better performance, using less power, selling for cheaper than their NVidia rivals.
Sad to hear about your problems OP. You've run into the big risk of selfassembly. When it all works people say it was oh so easy, and if something doesn't work, troubleshooting is most certainly no easy task. Basically not doable if you do not have spareparts to try and switch in and out. At least you could verify that it's not the screen.
And as a rule of thumb, if it doesn't even beep, then it's the mb that's a problem.
