Best areas for MF and XP

Have these been figured out yet? What are the best places to go through repeatedly for fast XP gain and good chances of finding rare items. In D2 there were: Andariel, act 2 tombs, mephisto, diablo and baal. Is there anything similar in D3? Also is it worth it to stay in normal at all or better just rush through it and get to hell / inferno as soon as possible? Thanks.

Bosses don't drop the same way as D2 - that, coupled with the fact you'll have to redo some quest stuff to get back to the bosses makes them a much less attractive option for MF I think (although I'm still fairly new too so.... could be wrong). Zone wise, I'm sure some are better than others. I'd suggest looking at zones where resplendent chests tend to spawn, as they might have an edge. I don't have any more specific answer off hand, but would be interested in one if anyone else has a good tip.

How much rushing you want to do depends if you're playing HC or not mostly, imo. It's always better to be slightly overleveled than underleveled in HC.

As far as items go, I wouldn't bother rushing at this point. The market/bubble for Nightmare blues that are powerful in normal difficulty is about to vanish, and the one for easily obtainable hell items should vanish shortly thereafter. I'd just take my time doing things. Although, unless I was on HC and being very cautious, I wouldn't particularly spend a ton of time farming normal (especially because of the AH... you can just grab some decent NM upgrade gear after beating normal but before having set a foot in NM - most of it is pretty cheap at this point too).

Nightmare Act 3 end boss and Act 4 first mini-boss will provide a bar or so at level 53, and is good to run around then for some VERY quick exp.

I probably clear both areas in roughly 5 minutes since I have a bit of a slow PC, though both bosses drop very easily.

Drops are pretty rubbish but you can sell everything to the vendor, might get one or two nice items as you will hit a few champion mobs but you run this area for exp and not drops, though you could make say 10k which isn't a lot to be honest.

Probably going to run this area till 55 so I can grab a new armour.

I'm lvl 60 and I can't find a good area to farm MF. What about end lvl player's areas ?

I like Fields of Misery in Act 1 because:

1. Act 1, its easier
2. Many champions/elites, remember to go into every cave you find for chests and more rare spawns

To get there select the quest "Khazra Den" and select the highlighted waypoint in-game.

Do you mean you managed to get to max lvl in only 10 days, while in Diablo 2 hardly enyone managed that? Doesn't that mean will loose a lot of it's value, if you reach max lvl so fast and from there on it's only gear improvement you can gain and not skills/abilities?
