For some reason, the game options (most annoyingly, the key bindings) revert back to default every time I quit the game. I think all the options except for sound and video do this. Rather annoying. Has anyone else found the same thing happening? If so, is there a way to stop it?
I'm not 100% sure where the game settings are saved, but I want to say that if you're using Windows 7 it might be a problem with your computer not allowing the game to save the settings in the Diablo III folder. If you give yourself administration privileges/run as administrator then it might fix the problem.
game settings are aved online i think, because i only played on my laptop until yesterday, but all the game options (elective mode and shortcuts, not sound or video) were the way i like them on my pc too. I think the best you can do is contact blizzard...
Game options (video, sound, etc.) are saved on your computer (Libraries/Documents/DiabloIII/D3Prefs--I'm going by memory here). What Hasuprotoss said regarding administrative priviledges.
When I switched to the NA servers it started me back at default. Switching back to EU everything was as I'd left it, that's the only issue I've run into with options.
I figure the options that are available before logging in (video, sound, account) are stored locally, while the others (gameplay, social, key bindings) are stored on the server because you can't change them unless you're logged in. After doing a bit of searching, it seems I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.
