I have a question about the Marked for Death Grim Reaper rune question. The rune says "An additional 12% of damage done to the target is also divided among all enemies within 20 yards". Does that mean the main target gets 12% additional damage from the skill and then all the surrounding enemies split another 12% from the rune? Or that every enemy including the main target all split the same 12%? Thanks for any input.
I'm assuming that it is 12% of the damage done to the target is divided among all the OTHER enemys within the circle. So the target receives 100%, and the surroundings receive a portion of 12% of that damage.
This has nothing to do with the Marked for Death skill, but how do you get more than one skill from a certain tree of skills? Like some people are linking builds with no Devices skill and two skills from the Hunting tree. How do you hotbar more than one skill from a certain tree? Thanks again.
I think the original target still takes %12 more damage. Additionally, all the enemies near the target take %12 of the damage divided amongst them. Otherwise the rune would be worse than the original spell in most cases.
I think he means it would be worse if it shared 12% among all the monsters instead of the original where it's 12% of one. So if you have a mob of say six guys, everyone gets 2% instead of one guy at 12%. He would rather have one at 12% than six at 2%. I think.
How would it be worse than the original spell if the main target is still taking 100%?
Well, in the original spell original target takes %12 more damage. According to your assumption it would mean that original target isn't affected and this %12 extra damage is divided amongst nearby mobs instead. Runes are always an improvement over the original spell. If your assuption is correct then your DPS doesn't change, only the allocation of the DPS is changed and it is changed for worse since you lose the ability to focus down champions/bosses. The skill description says "An additional 12% is also divided" so I'm sure you retain the original effect and gain a bonus %12 damage divided amongst nearby enemies.
Apologies, misunderstanding. I was also trying to get across that the original target retains the original effect and that the bonus 12% is divided, what I meant by 100% was 100% of the dmg which includes the original effects of the spell.
