Walking or running in slow motion?

I was in my first D3 group game today and my female wizard could not keep up with the other two characters. Her run speed was stupidly slow. I didn't see a walk/run toggle. Is it possible my connection speed wouldcause this? Not likely the others were both wearing movement bonus items...

I'm pretty positive it has nothing to do with your connection speed. In case of lag, your gameplay may not be smooth, but you would run exactly at the same speed. Try to equip boots with the "%increased run speed" modifier. I don't know much about the game yet (played only with wizard), but maybe other classes have active or passive skills that boost run/walk speed ?

The monk has a level 10 passive that increases movement speed by 10%.
