HC Barbs!.. How are you guys doing?

Got my barb to PL 11 few weeks back and gave up. He is just sitting. Too close to death too many times in ACT 2 and can't find any good loot in ACT 1 so waiting for todays big 1.0.7 update patch to see if it helps.

Heres to hoping for some new motivation.

Yeah that is the hope. I am trying to use the AH as little as possible, but it has become apparent that due to the probablity of any upgrades dropping I will have to farm for longer than my life and tolerance for it will allow.

I mean really - 11 paragon levels and not a useable legendary drop or legendary/rare drop I can trade or sell for gear I can use. So I decided to let him sit until 1.0.7 and we will test out crafting a little and if it turns out to be as useless as I suspect I might need a new game. I suspect the the crafting will be for the ultra rich with gold to burn for long shot rolls on upgrades that are very hard for them to find. We'll see, I might be pleasantly surprised.

So hoping for some fun tonight.

Zappa, just curious, what's the EHP of that killer barb?

According to Diablo Progress:
EHP Unbuffed: 2,106,995

Just came to mind that I could input your battletag into my EHP calc, duh :-)

Reliable EHP: 1.890k
Unreliable EHP: 2.128k

My EHP in comparison is only 827/1.296k. I see it's mostly because of your HUGE life pool, mitigation is not much higher than on my monk. Interesting to see all your stats:
- 2.6k regen is not too shabby
- 1.68 aps with 3% ls on your barb vs. 2.03 aps with 1.7k loh on my monk.
- Revenge scales very nicely with total life, your barb gains 5k life PER monster for every proc.

When will you reach P100? :-)

I hope to have some time this evening so I could get my barb at least 1 level up (to 58). Few days back I hit the Vault of assasin (hell) and I think I'll grind there at least one level or even more depending on how it goes. Since I ventured to act2 hell I noticed that some mobs are getting my lifepool littlebit down. Nothing critical but since I'm on my first HC char I don't like being unsecure about things.

My DPS is fine, my hp is fine but I think maybe my resists need to be recognized. <-- Please correct me by all means.

I just upgraded my ring so it's first item with AR. I've been checking AH and there are some upgrades but little pricy for my taste. If I could manage with small upgrades and hit 60 to get better ones... (And get killed trying to save gold)
I've been buying some stuff when needed and now I have about 1M saved. Maybe I'll grind VoA until I hit 60 and get decent upgrades at once.(?)

Any input from community? Where should I stand with AR. Been checking situation with gear guru and it shows that AR and armor are my biggest consern atm. How about build, is it ok or?
Should I switch War cry rune from regen to armor buff?
I might change Cleave to Frenzy since Elites gives me only trouble and take care of trash with Revenge.
Maybe: Ruthless -> Tough as Nails or Bloodthirst.

Anyhow, I'm enjoying my hc life alot atm but I don't know how I feel about Inferno when the time comes.

- Definately buff your AR by a lot. Your armor is ok for now.
- When you reach 60 you've got lots more gear available.
- Cleave/Frenzy is personal preference, if you're clearing content very easily cleave with explosion rune is nice. Else I'd say frenzy with last rune.
- For passives I would focus on defensive ones since this is your first char.

That' a good question. I'm trying to farm BS plans and Jeweler designs in the short term (which I combine with key runs). I'm just really glad they upped the experience per MP because I do key runs on MP5. I'm going to make a bunch of machines and do a bunch of Ubers then I'm probably going to focus mainly on the push to 100.
