Re: so i hit a brick wall

Farming is just not worth it. Monsters mostly drop items lower level than than the monster level (or what seems to be the monster level based on quest level requirements), while on the AH you can buy items that are exactly for your level, so even the cheaper ones will likely be much better than most drops you'll find. Until you can get items that are at least level 50, don't bother farming for gear. Only reason you'll have to farm is if you're out of gold, but you really shouldn't be since you can get very good items for very cheap at levels below 60 (5-10k for a big upgrade is a good price to shoot for).

Same here man, Diablo NM fight was a joke how easy, half of the champion/boss packs in Hell are impossible to defeat even if kiting and dodging and chipping away at one at a time for 15 minutes. I don't know what the deal is with mods like shielding/invulnerability/jailer but they're complete and utter bs. What kind of genius thought it would be a good idea to create monsters immune to damage, then don't disallow them to attack at the same time with for example vampiric, it's straight up impossible for melee. Don't get me wrong, i love difficult games, but this isn't difficult it's simply unfair.

I'm lvl 53 now, 4k damage, 20k life, 3k armor, 30% dodge, 20% block, about 50 resistance. I'm specced for damage since white mobs aren't a problem anyways and most champion/boss packs are impossible regardless, and if i can't get around them and die to them then i just start a new game since it's less trouble. Sound fun doesn't it Blizzard? Idiots.

lol you all haven't been paying attention! Barb is completely broken. No really. It's my favorite class and it is such a shame.
Check out the official forums if you haven't. You will have a very hard time in Hell, and for sure you'll wind up being all defense. Act I Inferno is as far as any Barb can go.

I hate kiting but there you have it boys and girls, there's nothing else for it!

Yeah I use superstition relentless nerves of steel passives. I cant live past hell act 2 with out these passives. I would never change relentless passive for anything -50% damage when you are about to die to try and use potion or leech skills. superstition is fun when you fight NM diablo for rerun, you get infinite fury

4k damage? I can't be sure because I don't remember exactly what you should have at every level, but you may want to go to the AH and get a new weapon. Also, you haven't even posted your spec so it's hard to help you.

Gear. Damage and IAS are your friends. Didn't believe my brother when he told me that, and I was dying left and right. went in and plunked down the cash on a decent weapon and a few odds and ends with IAS and simple damage (like 11-20 of of a ruby), and my DPS went up by 60%. no change in vitality, but i went from dying all the time to steadily mowing down mobs.

I do agree though, that it seems like the barb (which should be the "Iron tank" has issues with being squishy in inferno. i was looking over at my DH and wishing I had a version of her smoke screen on my barb...chain it with prep for 20-30 seconds of complete invunerability? ill take one plz.

Of course, outside of that they have squat. But still, id give a few of our 10% or 20% temp buffs for almost a half minute of 100% (this isn't default btw...you have to chain it with prep and time it well...but it's doable).
