Re: Seismic Slam is a great fury spender

i though SS was a bit poor when i first used it and got rid of it, came back to it later, used it with rumble, combined with Charge rune on War Cry, along with increased fury generation on animosity and them the 3+ fury per hit from weapon master.

i can normally get a 3 SSs off, hit with a leap a few swings with frenzy as im getting clear and i can normally throw off another 3 or 4 SS's.

im only on nightmare though so may not work in hell/inferno, so feel free to ignore this if you are way past that and can confirm this tactic wont work.

I'm still at level 34 but so far is the best fury spender for me. I use 90% cleave with the enhance of fury (Bash with stun or Franzy with Triumph for some boses) combined with Stomp/Leap/Revenge/Threat. Shout. I usually jump into a crowd with Leap, then Stomp (that's already enough to generate 30 fury alone) and then the shout and some Cleaves, which means the full orb filled, then 3 Seismic Slams spammend, rinse & repeat.

You can halve the SS fury cost with a rune, or increasing x2 the leap fury generation with a rune, and Revenge can fill your orb so fast that you're constanly using SS in combination with Stomp and Leap; so far Rend is a very weak fury spender and HotA doesn't fit very well in most of situations outside boss duels. Call me naive about the Hell/Inferno survival tactics, but so far in Normal and NM SS cuts through Diablo III minions as a crazy locomotive.

I love the skill, but I would like to see the damage boosted. Maybe in the first update patch it can get some love, it is still my preferred spender for packs.

I tried it a couple of times it's just no good for me. It has nowhere near enough power compared to HotA with the +dmg rune (which takes out high hp enemies quickly). I have plenty aoe already with stomp and cleave and revenge, adding seismic slam gave me nothing but took away my single target attack. Currently I'm compromising with the HotA Rolling Thunder

When you can no longer stand in melee with most monsters you will start to value the range of seismic slam
