Obviously it's our 'big nuke'. It's supposed to hit for 215% initially (with some splash - 45%). With Wall of Light rune it's supposed to do 312%.
Ok, above is what should happen, now let me tell you what im currently seeing on screen.
I have around 1350 damage. With that number my generators hit for ~1100 (on average), and my Wave of Light hits for ~1200 initial and some ~400 with splash. My kick hits for ~1800.
Initially i thought that maybe mobs im hitting have some high holy resistance (since Wave of Light is holy damage) but the numbers are similiar on every goddamn demon i try to kill.
As for now my Wave of light hits for ~140% weapon damage instead of what tooltip says. Whenever i use Wall of light rune it goes up a little, but it's only half of what it should be.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Maybe there is something that i don't understand about this skill (which would be weird, is it's pretty straightforward). I don't know if tooltip is bugged and should display smaller value, or if the spell itself is bugged, or maybe it's working as intended.
I never did the numbers, but it was clearly not a viable skill for a low level (25) character, because it costs too much for the damage it does. So I tried it for about 15 minutes and I'm not going to use it for a long time now.
I LOVE wave of light. With the rune that lowers cost to 40 spirit, this skill is great for knocking back mobs, and placeing running mobs in corners/walls. I will admit, the damage does not appear to match the % the skill claims.
