Diablo 2 Windows + Mac LAN

So I've got OS Lion and I'm trying to install Diablo 2 to play on a LAN with my roommates. So D2 is not supported by OS Lion, and I'd rather go the bootcamp route and play off Win XP than use a crossover program (I've found them to be buggy at time). SO my question, will playing D2 off windows platform be compatible in a LAN with other macs (my roommates)?

As far as I know, yes. Can't say for sure though
