WTF, started a new hero, my gold and Blacksmith level transferred?

I got bored of Lvl 27 Barb, so I started a Wizard.

WTF, I started the game with 7338 gold and my Blacksmith is already 4 with many many items unlocked.

This absolutely ruins the game for my level 1 Wizard. This can't be working as intended.

They announce the shared stash/gold/artisans ages ago.

Seems like it's working as intended to me, wouldn't really want to have to grind the blacksmith again and again as it would just be for the same unlocks. You would just end up using one character to craft which seems pointless.

This kind of killed it for me too... Any MORE ways to cater to the casual player who don't want to work for -ANYTHING-..?

Nothing casual about it..just annoying if you had to re-level your blacksmith.
When you want to craft you have to fill your stash then log to the other char, nobody is going to grind crafting on each char.

Plus, trust me higher levels your gold reserves will be demolished.

I have a 2 level 60's already and well enough gold to max quite a few artisans several times over. Sorry, your argument is invalid :P

After picking my jaw up off the floor at your two lev 60 chars (I have 3 chars in the teens and I thought I was playing a lot heh), I was glad you responded. I had thought that Blizz's reasoning for the levels carrying over to each character was that at the highest levels it was going to be insanely difficult to max out the artisans. I am disappointed to hear it is otherwise.

I have one char at lvl 35, currently playing in Act I on Nightmare mode. Anyways, I disagree with the original post completely. The way the game is now in regards to training the the blacksmith is fine - I want hunt for items and materials to craft, not grind for gold on every single char to train the blacksmith - screw that, having to do it one char is fine but if we had to do this on every single char it would get old really fast.

Well, at level 60, with some farming of Hell gear, you will EASILY be able to farm immense gold at a very short amount of time. But I made the choice of not going for a third level 60, and instead just haording gold... That's one choice I made and, well... Not sure what to do now...
