where does one ID rare items in Tristram?

You no longer need an NPC to ID Items. You simply right click on the item, a cast timer goes and after about 1.5 seconds the item becomes ID'd

Hehe. It took me a good 15 or 20 minutes before I figured that out too.

Hehe, last night my brother was running around like a headless chicken in Tristram too. When I asked him what the hell he was doing he told me he was going from npc to npc, trying to find the one that could friggin' ID his newly found rare item as he was anxious to see it because it was a class specific item for his own class.

I lol'd, but if I didn't read before hand that we could ID ourselves now I probably would've been doing the same thing =)

Yes, that's not very clear in the game. I had to spend 30s of my time finding the answer on Google !
