Sorry to bother again guys, but here they are:
1. Assuming the Enchantress is the best follower, which skills for her?
2. What is the real advantage of Mighty weapons for the barb?
3. Is level 16 too low to solo Act2 (I am having some problems surviving boss/champion packs)?
4. How do you compare so far the 2H weapon and raw power against the quickness of dual wield?
5. As to money spending, what are your choices (I am investing a lot in the Blacksmith training)?
6. Should you only craft rares or magic also?
Cheers,
Joćo
1. Depends on your own gameplay.
2. Fury generation with weapon mastery talent, and a higher chance for barb specific rolls.
3. No.
4. Dual weild dominates by far. Their (very slightly) lower dps is entirely made up by the 15% bonus attack speed. And, since you hit more often, you generate fury faster.
5. I got the blacksmith, but kinda regret it. His stuff sucks a lot. I'd probably just focus on the AH if I knew there weren't really good end game recipes.
6. You'll only need to craft if you're really unlucky on drops. I'd only craft an item if it was a slot that's like, 9 levels behind me.
I'd like to tag on here with a few basic questions about weapons instead of making a new thread.
A) Do the stat mods on the weapon affect the listed DPS? I feel like they don't on the weapon itself, but they do when you look at the aggregate character stats under the Character / Inventory tab.
B) Is there any situation where 2H weapons are ideal? I am LV 17 currently and the DPS of all the 2H weapons (including the Mighty 2Hers) are comparable to a lot of the 1H weapons I've found. When you factor in the 15% DPS boost from duel-wielding, it just doesn't make sense to me. If you're ripping through mobs, you dual-wield; if you're having issues, you go sword/axe/etc + board. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps higher base damage would boost the damage of of your abilities enough to outweigh the dual-wield DPS gain. Which leads to the next two questions:
C) How is ability damage calculated? If Hammer of the Ancients is 180% weapon damage, is it 1.8 * base damage of main weapon? Or some hybrid calc from both weapons? And:
D) Does delay (atks per second) impact abilities at all?
Sorry for the inane questions, but appreciate your help.
Lets see:
1: Depends on what you want, maybe the +% armour boost? note you can respec her skills If you need to.
2: Nothing really apart from Fury on hit with weapon mastery passive <- other than that the are the same as anyother weapon (Though I expect they spawn with barb releated buffs instead of the other classes, so more likely to get good affixes compared to say a sword).
3: No it fine, if your dieing to fast get a shield for the armour boost, shields give huge armour (the damage drop is negible IMO everything still dies in ~3-4 secs).
4: Depends on if you like doing lots of weaker hits or few big hits <- Note if you got +damage rings the 1 handers wins easy here.
5: Spend gold on what ever useful for you IMO, I been spending it on Blacksmith myself with the odd other item if I spot a good one.
6: Only craft something if the base item is a reasonable improvement over what your already using.
A) The stats effects do show up in the green numbers (IE +STR weapon will tell you what the armour boost etc will be) Be warned though as it sometimes gets stuff wrong. I.E. I had 2 bits of armour one with 20 armour and +15 STR and one with 30 armour it told me that the 30 armour will give me more protection but in reality the 20 armour did due to the STR boost.
B) outside of Earthquake etc I cant think of any reason either.
C) & D) not sure with the long CD skills but for spammable ones its alternates between weapons and the attack rate of skills is = to weapon APS. The advice is to use 2 one handers of similar damage so you get the +15% IAS boost and no damage lost from a weak weapon.
Great answers, guys. But say, how can I respec the Enchantress' skills?
