Just killed Hell Diablo with the wizard.
Started hell at 52 and duo'd all the way through with a monk. Lot of fun and a few close calls.
Not sure what to do next, i've heard inferno is beasting people.
Finished off Diablo at Hell difficulty at 11:11 PM.
I know it's not a big accomplishment since beating hell is kind of common on this fourm, but it was an absolutely amazing journey for me. Earlier this day I gathered some courage and ventured into the Bastion in Act III with all the suicide bombers, and the axe wielding skeletons who can hit hard. Then I continued to slaughter the demons up to Azmodan. That was the plan for today. I thought a lot about going forward but I did not want to risk it. Then I said to myself I can't wait anyway and what is the point of sitting at the beginning of Act IV? I want to buy Infernal dyes, and enjoy the "calmness" of Act I again. So I boosted my spirit and sat down in front of The High Heavens. I got to say my hands were literally shaking the whole time. Even at the shiny levels of Gardens of Hope. But when I had to go to the Crystal Spire levels, man **** just got serious. It was dar, red and black and offensive. The screen was shaking, the structures were breaking and everything wanted to kill me. Most of the monsters were bigger than me and every third or fourth had some juicy affixes (I got to say Morlu Incinerators are the most annoying to kill with a meele). So the feeling absolutely took me away. I was scared. So scared that when I found the portal to the Crystal Arch I literally screamed of joy. Diablo was just the last piece in the story.
I know that no other time I'll feel the same again (I don't think about clearing inferno ever yet) as leveling my 2nd barbarian to Hell act II was nothing but a rush, while with my first character it was completely different. So probably the sencond the third, ect, hell Diablo kill will be nothing more then another kill after which I'll be able to farm at Inferno, but this first one was just as great as I wanted it to be.
@DeluksZ
Gratz on the Hell clear, I want to take it down tomorrow. I also know that feeling, my hands were shaking before Hell Belial, heh. The satisfaction you get from success at such encounters also scales up. Don't think that Act 4 will be much tougher than the previous one, ain't afraid of black colors there, 'cause that is no Amnesia [at night].
just died again at lvl 56 in a1 hell.
someday i will be level 60 again...
I was about to kill Azmodan on nightmare tonight (the first heart was already down), but we have thunder and lightning outside. Obviously I don't want to risk my character to die at lvl51 because of a DC this way.
I'm getting more and more scared what will hell bring, since I see a lot of people dying already on act1 there. I assume not because people are not careful enough. I don't remember how things go on hell with a character that just got into there, I played hell last time on the release week.
Well, I'll see I guess (let's hope I won't die).
Managed to beat Hell. I actually take my words about Act 4 back. Opressor elite/champs and Mallet Lords are a real pain. Our group ran into Arcane Frozen Molten Opressors in Gardens of Hope 2, who chased us back all the way to the waypoint. Ranged chars left the game (didn't want to die to demons' charge attacks), my Monk hired Ench and kited the mobs in circles for a few minutes before burning them. Then almost died to Izual.
Inferno, finally.
Still farming butcher in inferno with my barb but have also started a DH while waiting for upcoming changes to act2-4 which is now 50 and in A1 hell, going to be a lot different from barbarian for sure, already noticing huge damage spikes in late NM and almost died to oppressors
