    Re: RIP: Our Fallen Friends

    Character name: Cydonia
    Character level: 36
    Character class: Demon Hunter
    Character build: Twin Chakram
    Game difficulty: Nightmare
    Act: Act 2 - Desert
    Death type: PvM

    Cause of demise:
I was running along rather recklessly chucking Chakram and mowing down everything in sight. My air conditioner kicked on and the lights dimmed for a second, but my computer didn't turn off. I tried some attacks, but the game wasn't responding. At that point, I looked at my router and saw the lights going through their reset blinks. Log in to a ghost.

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: FeebSuj
    Character level: 27
    Character class: Monk
Character build: Shield (State the build type only)
    Game difficulty: Normal
    Act: Just Before Fighting Gluttony
    Death type: PvM

Cause of demise: Mix of small lag spike, carelessness, and a fallen luinatic...
Mostly the carelessness (let's be honest).
    First D3 hardcore death.

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: HCMonkII
    Character level: 53
    Character class: Monk
Character build: 2 fist weaps, LoH
    Game difficulty: Nightmare
Act: Act III, Heart of Sin quest, Arreat Crater
    Death type: PvM

Cause of demise: Wanting to lvl in ActII NM, prepare for Hell (Finished NM pretty easy). Ran into an Elite Arcane Enchanted and something of those big hitters, I thought I could take them because I have had no trouble in NM before at all. 2 secs later I was dead. Don't know what really happened (besides a bit of carelessness). 2nd death, 60 still not reached.

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: PigHeadedZap
    Character level: 60
    Character class: Barbarian
Character build: Sword & Board Cleave/Hammer/Revenge
    Game difficulty: Inferno
Act: Act II headed to the Black Canyon Bridge
    Death type: PvM

Cause of demise: Sand Wasp elite pack with Plagued, Frozen, Desecrate & Illusionist. Was thinking maybe I should just reset the game because they are such a pain to deal with as an elite pack. Didn't listen to that little voice in my head. Prime item lost was a 1K+ dps Rune Sword with 6% ias that was really nice that I had just had drop for me yesterday. Had my dmg up over 20K, HP was a little low at 48K, armor just under 10K thought I would give Act II a try again. Had been steamrollering Act I really easily since adding this sword.

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: Betty
    Character level: 60
    Character class: Barbarian
    Character build: Twin daggers/LoH
    Game difficulty: Hell
Act: A3/Mission where you have to go under the keep to find Ghom
Death type: PvM - Fallen Maniac

Cause of demise: Got rushed by more than one of those suicide bomber type things at once, not fast/waller/extra health, nope they were regular ol' white trash :(

The most annoying thing is that I had a close call to the same type of monster about 5 minutes prior. I instinctively hit the button for WotB (as that is where my DH's prep/battle scars button is, hehe. I should have pressed Q but thought I'd at least have a chance to WotB up and get some life back..) but no, died instantly, I didn't even see the screen go red.

It was insta-death from 100% health, i had about 400 (minimum, with Impunity) all-res but only about 23k life as I was (possibly stupidly) prioritising IAS even though I was using Frenzy and daggers and was over 2.03 attack speed. Whilst the sensible thing next time is to go sword and board, there was a certain satisfaction to facetanking everything Maybe A3/Hell is the cutoff point for DW, or maybe not put so much into IAS at the expense of STR/VIT..

Kicking myself for removing Relentless in favour of Juggernaut as "I wasn't seeing any benefit from Relentless" (ffs!) but tbh but don't know if it would have even saved me as I went from full life to dead. At last count, my EHP was 311114.88

Not too cut up about this death (losing so many DH's I've come to accept HC deaths now), she had nothing that can't be replaced, had a nice 220 STR belt but nothing amazing as it didn't have all-res anyway.

Will definately be back with a barb, loved the feeling of being, for the most part, the biggest and baddest thing around. Might be time to pick up my Wizard or try do a CC-based WD.

    Re: RIP: Our Fallen Friends

    Character name: WinstonTwo
    Character level: 60
    Character class: Barbarian
Character build: chaos fury build, similar to Kripparrian
    Game difficulty: Hell
    Act: A3 Heart of Sin
    Death type: PvM

Cause of demise: Client froze up mid-WW in Heart of Sin. The Azmodan message popped up, I hit some combination of WW and escape, and the client locked up. I will miss the 300 life on hit amulet I had, but a lot of the other stuff was pretty marginal.

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: FookMiFookU
    Character level: 60
    Character class: Wiz
    Game difficulty: Hell
    Act: Act 3
Death type: PvM - Champion pack

Cause of demise: on the way to Azmodan and I ran into a pack of Vortex, Molten, Frozen, Waller spider things .. Kargra the Ghastlywas his name and all I could do was scream and watch myself get ate alive after healing. That Vortex mod is the worst one for me so far....

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: Ben
    Character level: 55
    Character class: Barb
    Character build: LoH
    Game difficulty: Hell
    Act: A1/Loeric's Manor
Death type: PvM - Dark Beserker (shielding/mortar/something else)

Cause of demise: Basically the shielding did me, even though i was WotB'd there was nothing for my LoH to latch onto. I was playing around with Overpower:CA and that probably would've helped me survive a bit longer but I junked it in favour of FC:MA.

Had ToN/NoS/Superstition and still bought the farm. I absolutely hate levels 55-60, not high enough to use all res gear but too high that simple farming on hell is downright dangerous due to low resists and not getting enough XP benefit out of NM.

Diablo III RIP: Our Fallen Friends
    Death Certificate

    Character name: KlickKlick
    Character level: 51
    Character class: Demon Hunter
    Character build: Constantly changing
    Game difficulty: Nightmare
    Act: A4/Diablo
Death type: PvM - My first D3-crash ever

Cause of demise: I was playing untwinked and finally felt I had the gear to face Diablo.
Everything was going well and we got to the second stage of the fight, the shadow/terror realm.
I felt comfortable, steadily dealing damage and keeping above 50% health all the time.
Suddenly the game crashed. I restarted and logged in only to see that she was dead.
