Zappa, how are you finding the difficulty so far? Are you playing conservatively and stress over every boss pack, or more or less relaxed?

I'm a bit surprised that no one has reported any HC deaths yet, since others have been saying they've died quite a bit in SC.

Or does no one want to admit being the first!

I'd die a few times for sure if I went straight to HC. Some of it comes really unexpectedly with almost no time to react, especially for melee class.

I think ranged is easier in HC if you play carefully, e.g. pulling each pack separately from edge of vision, etc.

I'm playing pretty cautiously. I was playing pretty bold when I first beat SK, went to my usual dual-wielding Sickles with the two that SK dropped. Got beat down to 19 in that first new big field and decided to use a shield lol. Definitely managing the cool-downs for Stomp & potions that's for sure. Potions are basically a one-shot deal because of the long cool-down.

I am loving the new areas past SK.

that's good to know...have yet to really be able to dig into the game (tonight for a few hours). But once i unlock HC ill have to watch out for those pitfalls.

No deeds yet but I was so exhausted I passed out in my chair for a couple hours.

LOL - just woke up and ready to go now.

Im currently level 7 and The Fields of Misery are much harder than anything we saw in beta. Ive had several close calls - "The Old Man" ( a tree boss) almost deeded me with his poison attacks. Im definately not going to dual weild in HC, gonna play it safe with a sword and board build. Havent found any good items yet or crafted anything exciting yet.

The game is very interesting and refreshing past the SK, cant wait to get to act 2....
