Could they die any more easily? They're getting one shot by certain mobs.
sacrifice ?
If you want to keep them alive early on, use crowd control and Jungle Fortitude. Later, you get skills which heal (such as hedge magic), moves which allow you to get Health Globes (Death is Life), and passive skills such as Fierce Loyalty, Bad Medicine, and Zombie Handler.
You never get tired?
I am still before SK because of servers problem but, they die easer that i remembered :/. I can only imagine that later will be worse but i am not surprised.
Edit. LoL this yellow mini boss guarding crown tomb 3 shotted zombie dogs, 9 hits and they are all dead it wasn't bad if not that now i have cd...
It gets alot easier once you have the gargantuan and the follower to absorb some punishment. With the correct passives i seldom have to resummon my dogs, unless im fighting a boss or something like that.
Not sure what this is supposed to mean, but please refrain from personal attacks.
I have seen high level play on streams of the game. The dogs need to be re-cast, though not often enough for me to come to the board and cry that they are weak.
I'm definitely keeping an eye on it in case they end up being useless, but I don't see any evidence of that quite yet.
If they don't work out, you'll probably hear something from me... and probably from Smash, as well.
I played through Acts 1 and 2 leading up to this server restart. The dogs were far too squishy, even with Jungle Fortitude. Zombie Handler helps out a bunch, but any rare will still wreck them. They work a lot like the Dire Wolves of the D2 Druid: decent enough for trash, but not sturdy enough 100% play even in normal mode. Honestly, unless you're planning your build around the dogs (Sacrifice, Zombie Handler, Death is Life, Leeching Beasts) they aren't going to cut it.
The Gargantuan on the other hand is epic. Mobs flock to him, far more so than they flock to the dogs and the only time I've had to recast him was when I ran into two rare mobs (one of which hit me to 50% with one blow) at the same time and even then I was able to recast him mid fight, he got aggro and lived.
I haven't had any problems with the dogs. By the time the dogs die, the cooldown is up again. They started off quite decent, but got weaker towards the end of act 1, but when I go the Gargantuan the dogs started to live a lot longer. The comparison to druid dire wolves is a good way to describe them... don't expect necro skellies, lol.
It wasn't personal attack, just question because you see nothing wrong in skill that need so much investment to be viable compare to others. Maybe you should try play WD instead relay on watching streams.
I am in act 2 normal lvl 18 now and i can honestly say they are way to squishes, most fights i am ending without any dog still alive.
Cicrle of Life is most of time useless.
Honestly i died three times because i relayed too much on them that they will hold off monsters instead they died in seconds and i was nest in line. Ghost form, underground hands and fear are better friends :/. I still keep them for fancy but except sacrifice build is see no purpose for them in my current play.
Smash, I am in Act 2 and I am level 23.
I understand what you are trying to say, but I would appreciate it if you changed your tone. It is comes off as hostile sometimes.
I am playing a WD and I am using dogs. I am currently using the Final Gift dogs and Gruesome Feast, so I do not mind pet death. Even while using this combo, I find I can re-cast my dogs frequently enough to have 3 of them out the majority of the time.
They do not ALL die unless there is a difficult pack of enemies around. Even then, I just recast them and I'm always ok. I haven't died yet, and I haven't found any many instances where I NEEDED all three of my dogs.
