Bought Digital Copy - Accidentally Clicked "Activate It" On Installer

    Hi guys,

So I started the installer a few minutes ago and I wasn't aware that it was already activated since I bought the digital copy. When the installer started I hit the "Activate It" button and was prompted to the Battle.Net screen where I should put in my Game Key code.

Is this going to be a problem when the game starts? On my Battle.Net Diablo III Game Management page it says that the Account Status is "Active" so I feel like I'm going to be okay. Just wanted to make sure...

Also, is there any way to make sure that the installer installed correctly when it finishes?

    Thanks!

I think you'll be OK. I did the same thing but I have no key to enter. My account also shows as active.

Okay, thanks. Two quick questions...is my Battle.Net Account Name just my Battle.Tag? And is my password just my Battle.Net Account password? If not, where can I find/set up these?

your log in for the game is the same as what you log into Battlenet.com with. Then your password is also the same as the website. If you have an authenticator you will also be required to use it.

What is an authenticator? And does it automatically log you in as your Battle.Tag then after you log in with your Battle.Net account?

    Thanks!

An authenticator is a small piece of electronics (or an app on a smart phone) that gives you an 8 digit code to type into your account when logging into a Blizzard game or their website. It is an added layer of security, that's all. The 8 digit code is generated on the server and replicated on your app so you know which digits to type in. It constantly generates a new 8 digit code after like 15 or 20 seconds. I had the small keyfob, lost it then got the app instead. The page below needs to be updated to include D3.
