More than Four Zombie Dogs

Jay Wilson says that using Circle of Life, you can get more than your usual amount of zombie dogs.

I would not trust his tatement, however, since the class he is least familiar with happens to be the Witch Doctor.

Whether this means you can get more than 4 at a time, or whether this means you can get more than 4 in a certain time frame is unclear.

During the Beta, you were capped at having only 3 dogs out at a time when using Circle of Life.

He also says there is a passive you can get that gives you a chance to get a new zombie dog when using sacrifice. I think here he just misspoke and he said "passive" instead of "rune."

I wouldn't trust what he said either. I think he meant that you can have more zombie dogs than with the summon skill alone, but still with a limit of four at any time.

If you could get more than 4 ZD at a time, the burst damage from sacrifice could get pretty ridiculous..

I think that you're right - I think he did just make a mistake because he's not as familiar with the WD as he is with other classes. I don't think they'd let you get more than 4 out at a time.

Jay's like me in the sense that Fetishes from Fetish Army may technically be pets, but I don't really count them either, since they only last 45 seconds haha :P.

I got all excited when he said 'petless', but then he finished with 'petless PET build' and I was all: "aaaw" :P. That said, I'm sure true petless will be fine ^_^.

It wasn't really a mistake. You're normally limited to 3 dogs * the cooldown of the skill. Use of other skills allows for the potential to create more than that even without the base dogs skill. If he said "at a time" and I forgot so, then wtvr, but he didn't have a script to read or anything.

It was most likely a mistake. Circle of Life doesn't allow you to spawn more than 3 or 4 dogs and I bet that neither do other skills.

I put this skill on and killed things for a while to see if a 4th would pop up. Didn't see it happen yet. Will continue testing though.

There is an achievement for spawning 3 or more zombie dogs at once without using the spawn zombie dog skill. If it is it's probably unique because from mass confuse you can't get more than 4.
