Hi, so the problem is, when i install lod, diablo 2 "disappear" is it normal or i am missing something?

By disappearing I assume you mean the short-cuts to D2. When you play LOD un-check the expansion box from the options, just above hardcore, when you create your character. Only the first 5 characters can be played in normal d2, often referred to as classic. The other two, druid and assassin, must be played in LOD.

Ok but i only have the lod shortcut in the desktop, and my question is, can i play the acts from diablo 2 in lod?
I am confused because when i played warcraft you have the 2 games in the desktop, so in diablo it's normal to "disappear" the shortcut?

Now I understand the misunderstanding. LOD is just an expansion that adds Act V and two more characters along with a few changes in the game mechanics. You still have access and must play through Acts I - IV for each character you create. I do not know how better to explain it. Hopefully someone else can explain it if this does not make sense.

Ok, let's see if i got it, you don't need the diablo classic shortcut in the desktop in order to play it you only need the one from LOD, if you want to play the classic only need to uncheck the box.

Correct, but one little thing I believe I have to add. You do not have to play classic to access the older Acts or first five characters. You only need to play classic if you like the older game mechanics.

Some of these include:
- no need for dex to achieve max block, it is all about the shield block only.
- you will not have access to the new items added in LOD, namely runes and jewels.
- no weapon switch
- higherlings cannot go with you between Acts and do not level up.
- you cannot equip mercenaries in classic.
- I do not believe that in classic, Act II mercenaries have auras.
- smaller stash size in classic, LOD is about twice the size.

These are just a few, but you probably will enjoy playing LOD more. To me LOD is what D2 should have been in the first place. Some do disagree though. Good luck and hope this did not confuse you.

At first it confused a little but after reading with attention not so much.
So i can play the full story and the act 5 in lod?

Yes. Again sorry for the confusion. If you play LOD you will not need classic at all.
