So uhm, Diablo III : Wrath

So this just has been released, where do you think this story fits in the lore?
In this movie, Diablo isn't in his "Diablo 3" form with mouths on his shoulders. Assuming the hero (in D3) will get to kill the diablo 3 form, can we say that D3 : Wrath is before the Diablo 3 story? So where does it fit exactly? Between diablo 2 and 3? I can't picture it in my mind and it bugs me.

it's before diablo 1.

In other words, during the wars between the angels and the demons that preceded the union between a rogue angel and demon that produced our world (Sanctuary) and the Nephalem, ancestors of humans.
