Hi, me and my friend would like to play through Diablo II together online. I have a Mac and she has a PC, if we both buy the battle chest from a store, can we play together? Is it through something like Battlenet, or do we have to jump a bunch of hurdles to get it going. Thanks for the info.
Sure you can, and it is easy. Create you accounts on the same server, create you characters and then create a private game with a password. You can tell her the password and once she joins, you are set.
Oh ok, I'm going to buy the digital copy off Battle.net but she wants a physical copy so she's gonna go to the store. Glad that it's so easy to get into for an old game. Thanks
Dont buy the chest go to blizzards website and download it. Its cheaper and you don't have to keep track of the discs, they give you the key and you can download it again whenever you want as long as you don't loose the key. Don't buy it from one of the spam sites like d2legit though because I am pretty sure nothing is legit from that and the other sites.
Even if you buy the chest once you register the cd key to the blizzard battlenet account you can download the game if you want and it saves the cd key to the battle net account not the diablo 2 account.
I know this because I lost 1 of my disc but had the cd key just entered it onto my battle net account and got to download the game for free from blizzard.
