Re: Did I actually create a WD with 99% damage resistance?

Im not in position to disagree, i did not done tests myself
I personally would only welcome this, but we will see soon for sure.

P.S. in your build I would probably use synergy of Gargantuan with Big stinker for AoE poison to triger Bad Medicine. Extra pet - extra damage reduction as well

Just wanted to point out that increasing damage reduction additively leads to exponential increases. There is only one additive damage reduction source in D3 though, which is block. Perhaps damage reduced by makes a comeback though.

As for intellect, the reasoning is simple from a game design viewpoint; all main stats reduce all damage. If intellect didn't reduce physical damage, it would break the beautiful symmetry.

There was something else I found weird about your calculations, which was regarding the health to damage modifier. You said you had 46%, but the modifier you used appears to be 66% (.34 in the calculations), or did I miss something?

True, damage reduction and EHP are linearly related in the multiplicative algorithm. I guess I just meant that as one approaches DR of 1 your EHP increase exponentially.
