You can resurrect other party members by rightclicking on them. Especially important when fighting bosses.
I am confirming that this is how it works.
When I am playing the game with my girlfriend, we read all the stories, listen to the lores, and watch all the cinematics. When we play with our friends, however, some do not care too much about the side stories and tend to skip ahead, which skips the stories for us, as well.

I just found this site today and think it's great. This thread is especially helpful!
Can someone please clarify for me what the quoted tip means? Does this only refer to the waypoints being reset when you change difficulties (e.g., when you enter Nightmare you start without the waypoints you gained in Normal)? Or is it saying that it's possible to lose a waypoint while still working through a difficulty level. In other words, is it just like previous versions of Diablo? Or is it different in this version?
(I'm not concerned about the rushing part, just the part about waypoints resettng.)
Thanks!
I think a good tip is to explore every inch of every zone you enter. You'll kill all the mobs, or most all, and get tons of vendor/crafting items. In addition to that you'll discover all the mini dungeons and stay ahead of the leveling curve from all the xp making it even easier as you go along. When I enter a new area I walk around the edge clockwise. I find any exits this way and I can easily see what remains to discover.
What he saying is if your select a quest to play from (IE you dont use the continue) the game resets you progress to the start of the quest line regardless of your progress, unless your joining a game in progress then you join it at the stage they reached.
So lets say you want to do a Boss run and you pick the quest for that boss to find yourself a game now your in game progress is set to the game state of a new player who just got that quest. IE any waypoints between quest start and boss are all relocked.
New tip: when you want to get crafting mats try the AH, the last few times I checked the price of normal basic reagents is cheaper than most of blues you can collect, at 20 gold per bit. Even if the price increases a bit it still be better to sell most blues to a vendor and buy the bits than to scavenge some of the blue drops unless you want the rare crafting mats.
I am surprised by the number of posts, both here and on the official forums, by players who do not know about advanced tooltips. That means they are playing the game without looking at Options. The tip is never play any video game without investigating the options. For Diablo 3, I recommend the following:
Immediately after creating your first character, review ALL the choices in Options. Hovering the name of the choice brings up a tooltip explaining what it does. Then play awhile, say, until you get to the graveyard (many groups of mobs there). After killing a few groups, go back into Options and review each choice, making adjustments as necessary. Then kill a few more groups to see how your adjustments affect the gameplay. You may need to repeat this several time to achieve the optimum Options setup.
All of your money should be spent at the Auction House to upgrade your gear. Gear is the most important thing in the game at this point.
Level up your Jeweler as time goes by to socket better gems, but don't waste money on Blacksmith upgrades/crafting. It's much cheaper to find something good on the AH rather than spending 15k and tons of materials trying to get a Helm with Strength/Vitality on it or w/e.
Make good use of defensive/mobility skills, especially in later difficulties. Arcane sentries will eat you up unless you can get out of the way quickly after they spawn.
When in doubt, don't rage quit. Don't start a new character. Don't complain in the forums. Just stick with it. Sometimes I wipe 4-5 times on the same boss pack because they have a nasty combination of affixes (Molten/Desecrator/Jailer for example) but if you tweak your skills for the situation and try to play a bit smarter you can overcome it. The "---- yeah!!!" feeling of finally taking down a monster that's been roflstomping you is great.
