Hah. I too go for the "maximalist" rather than the "minimalist" desk

Being single, I tend to eat in front of the computer, because, well, that's where my friends are... who wants to eat alone?

So besides the food and beverage supplies there's dishes from the last meal or two...... lessee what else... based on what's there right now:

Two empty and one non-empty box of kleenex
Bottle of Jim Beam
webcam
mouse charger
phone charger
canned air
furniture polish (hey I dust my desk once in a while!)
dustrag
empty hard drive enclosure form my last computer
collection of screws from same

a WHOLE lot of cables and power adapters, most but not all connected to something at at least one end

but you get the idea. Maybe I'll get it cleaned off in the hours before midnight on the 15th, but I doubt it

The same thing I have on my desk every day. Usually a drink, speakers,external HD, wireless antenna, keychain with battle.net and paypal (and at some future date, TOR) authenticators, monitor, and assorted pens, pencils, and scraps of paper.
