    Untwinked HC Werebear tank

So another person on the forum and myself are playing single player untwinked. We only play together through TCP. He's playing (at the moment) a cold sorc going for blizzard. We have to play completely untwinked and on /p8 the entire time.

I'm currently level 12. My plan is this:

Get prereqs, but focus mainly on Lycan until it's maxed. After that, work on Werebear/Oak Spirit/Grizzly
The idea is that coupled with a defensive act 2 merc, I can achieve very high life/defense early in the game. By the time we have begun Hell, We will be ~lvl70-75 and I'll be maxing Maul by then to help us later on.

Any ideas? I couldn't find any guides since this build will hash out low damage and is pure survivability... I'm enjoying it thus far. Level 12 and over 300hp!

go for shockwave. it is one of the best crowd control skills. it can stun even champions/uniques if you cast it a few times.
donīt skill further than 10 second duration though, thats the maximum length even if the game says otherwise

Just a tip. Why do you play /p8? If it's not for the XP gain, play /p7 because the drop rate will be the same, as they increase at every odd integer.

From my extremely vast experience with HC and WBs there; here is a pro tip:

Just because you have a lot of hp doesn't mean you have to whack on MSLE with -50 light res just to see if you can survive a hit or two.

Also, if you go against my advice here (indeed, you can survive), please at least use one of your full rejuvs instead of saving them for a situation where you really need them. This is such a situation even if you think you can outrun a shaman.

Shockwave and Hunger (1 pt) are pretty good for survivability, especially if you have someone else doing most of the killing. Also, the faster the weapon, the more fun it is to play a bear IMO, but that has to be weight against the damage obviously, especially untwinked. (Swing some with Khalim's Will before using it.)

The grizzly doesn't get hp from extra skills (one of the wolves provides that), so more points there won't improve its tanking ability.

Ty aginor. I found a skill calculator and found that Spirit wolves add to the grizzly's def while Dire wolves add HP. Just 3 points into DW and the grizzly's life nearly doubled! Our "rule" is that we may trade for 2 items per week. I think I'll grab Hwannin's weapon and armor this week on the forums, if I can
