Its also happening again for me too.
You guys running Free Anti virus software need to upgrade. It cost me $25. for a 3 seat license of Kaspersky Internet Security. Check Ebay. Actually, I think it was $24./shipped for the retail version/sealed for 3 pc's.
If you want to spend $65. for it, be my guest.

Is this with respect to the "http://forums.weddingbells.ca/" thing? I have no-script, and recently a bunch of ******s have been popping up (blocked, obviously) after each thread title that link there. Not really sure what the deal is...only seems to affect older threads. This thread's title doesn't have it.
There must be a security leak somewhere. I have been getting malware messages from this forum since yesterday :/
C:\Users\*Username*\Appdata\Local\Temp\gondad.exe
and
C:\Users\*Username*\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Window s\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\*Random map*\x[1].exe

I just got the newest Consumer Report's mag and it lists AVG at #7 out of 14 for paid security suites. Kaspersky is #3.
Don't even think about saying what most people say.... But it's Consumer Report's. Yep, an Independent consumerist supporter that buys it's own products, does it's own testing and does not accept kickbacks from companies to make their certain product look better. No ads except their own, but does accept donations from subscribers.
Here are the top 10 Paid for Security Suites in the June issue.......
#1-- Avira
#2-- G Data
#3-- Kaspersky
#4-- ESET
#5-- BitDefender
#6-- Avast
#7-- AVG
#8-- Norton
#9-- F-Secure
#10-- Bullguard
Yes. The same thing happened yesterday (and supposedly twice before that). The owners of this site know about it, since they already "fixed" it yesterday, but here it is again.
Unfortunately, yesterday's thread about this issue got deleted.
Users with old/unsafe browsers might get infected with malware just by visiting this forum, this is not acceptable.
Thats fine, and i'll consider it in 2013 when my license runs out but being 7th on a list that says top ten isin't bad and i really dont care that much as avg suits the way i use my pc and i like it. Point beging im not going to change my virus software because one website disagrees with it.
I'v been a member of this site for years and just stared having this issue so im sure once they fix it it will be fine and its blocking the threat anyways.
MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) is one of the top at the moment, it's great and free. All the computer shops reccomend it, as do I (coming from a NOD32 long time user). The real issue though these days, is not virus's, but malware, spyware, greyware etc. That is where NoScript shines, AV's are not capable of protecting you against a lot of the attacks and javascript injected malware - it's a little of a pain to use, but ever since it's been on my computers I've never had an attack.
Also, on my most recent post, the ****** heading was added into my title, so this attack is clearly still around
