Couldn't agree more. I beat all 4 Halo campaigns co-op and each time my buddy and I were amazed when we realized we had no idea what we just did, what any of the levels were really about, what the character's names were, what that person was talking about on the underwater elevator ride, etc. We were too busy chatting and fighting. It's like autopilot. I had to play through solo to even realize WHY we completed certain objectives. I was so familiar with even the music I could recall every note but when I got the OST I realized I never really listened to it before.
It gets even worse in RPGs like WoW, where nobody has time to read the quest text much less savor the atmosphere.
I think way too much emphasis is placed on the developer's side of things rather than what an individual brings to it. People rate a game as "good" or "bad" as if it just IS that way, delivered as some package containing exactly 50 liters of fun, rather than examining how they approached it.
I'm an immersion junkie so that's why I'm going to such lengths to meet D3 halfway, but playing with friends certainly has it's own charms when people are patient and laid-back. Especially in HC, it sounds really fun. I'm totally looking forward to actually being afraid in dungeons.

The stash is just the new mule account. Just saves you a lot of time not having to relog 10 times. Its not like its a huge change from D2, in fact the non looting of corpses actually makes this more hardcore then d2 used to be.
About the duping/botting. Sadly, I never saw a game where they completely kept bots and such out. I dont think D3 will change that. Hopefully they keep it out as long as possible and if it gets through, control it as good as possible.
On the RMAH in HC. The only reason I could come up with, for myself that is, is they (blizz) dont want to get in trouble because someone just spend $100 on an item and died 2 mins after.
Go through normal first (Need to boost my GF's Wiz -_-) and then it's all HC.
