I spent over 10 years playing exclusively HC so I see no reason to alter my play style just because they say Inferno is difficult. Live and learn, Die and Restart !!

RAWR!!! Yeah who am I kidding... I'm very curious about the entire content of the game, but when it comes down to it I know HC is the only way to play (for me). And besides, I know I'm gonna wanna start building up my stash of HC gold asap... why accumulate anything in SC if I know the second I switch it's all going to just draw dust anyway?

So yeah, one SC char to 10, and then it begins!

The worst part of D3 will be the 10 levels I need to attain before I can play the game properly.

Well, Diablo 3 will be my first in the Diablo serie....but i know the excitment of hardcore mode from another game.
SO.....i'll rush 10 levels with a softcore toon and then hardcore forever!!!
In a certain way i love to make toons and die
The great feeling of a boss fight you survive, the great feeling of seeing your character still alive, the sense of true power for completing Inferno for the first time

I will jump right away into HC after the required 10 levels of softcore, from then on just HC.

I am very excited about playing through the game for the 1st time in HC without knowing what is coming up next. My only concern is if I will hit a plateau due to the difficulty of the game (I am starting to get a bit worried about inferno) and the limited amount of time to play that I have. In any case I will hopefully be able to keep going on despite slow progress and avoid playing a SC character on the side to experience the whole game.

Get to 10, make my HC characters, then delete my SC character. I can't stand SC.

I was planning on playing only Hardcore from the start, then they said no RMAH in HC, and my choice kinda altered. Then they said no RMAH in SC for a week, so now my stance is this: I will start with SC (have to.. lvl10) just to learn what is coming, then play my HC a little to catch up. Not a fan of surprises, but I can understand how some people can be, and power to ya for playing that way.

I would like to play HC with others, but I like to explore, and I know some people don't. If I have already explored on my SC, then I can "run" with a team on HC if I need to.... but then again, it is HC... one "shouldn't" run anyway.

Am I going to rush through HC? No. I don't want to be the first one dead at 45... I would rather be the 3rd one alive at 50.

Getting lvl 10 in sc asap and aftrer that i wont touch sc again and my trip to demi god begins. Going at it with a wiz. Fun times inc!

I'm not sure. I want to move to hardcore right away, but I have a few hesitations:

-I want to see Inferno first in softcore. Maybe that makes me a wimp.
-The HC player count won't be as high. This will be mitigated, obviously, by four-player auto-matched games, but many of the folks I know who will be playing will only be playing softcore. Maybe that makes my friends wimps.
-Completion speed is always faster in SC. I want to see the end of the game/story. I'll get there faster in SC.
-Finally, and most importantly, Blizzard has already made HC a less robust game. They removed the RMAH. Now, I still have mixed feelings about the RMAH, but I do think its removal is a game changer...potentially for the worse.
