my Sc characters will be there solely to open HC, play with friends that have no guts (JK!!!), and to go to when My HC toons die and im moping. I didn't start HC in D2 until i had plyed SC many times, so the idea of learning the game from a HC standpoint is totally Jazzing me. It's like HC but more dangerous because I don't know whats coming (or even what kind of stuff is coming!)

My plan was to play through normal, see what the stats/spells/playstyle of my sc toon is good for, and then start HC. Although I'm in Act III I already started my HC characters, but I have to admit, I was shocked when I saw how easily you can die. My SC toon died several times, mostly in 2-3 seconds, and thats not because he has low gear. I think my actual HC tactic is build around overleveling the contest. Those of you who start HC as soon as they are able to. /bow and /mourn
I won't start HC until I've finished SC with at least one char too. Just to get a better understanding of what evil awaits us in the depths of Inferno
I managed to die in HC already at level 13 in the Highlands area when I was mobbed by massive Goatmen ... Time to restart but the servers are currently down ...
Still going strong on my demon hunter at 18 or 19.
I played the first three acts softcore, just getting used to the game;
It's hardcore all the way from now on though.
If you enjoy the game that way, then more power to you. For me HC in D2 was about testing your game knowledge and preparation. Dying in a bossfight because you don't know how it works wouldn't sit right with me.
Anyway, I beat the game last night on SC so I'm gonna start my first HC char now
I've started a softcore Demon Hunter, and I'll probably get him to Inferno first before starting HC.
But once I start HC I'll probably mostly play HC. I'll play SC only when in the mood to play with friends.
