I pre-ordered mine at my local gaming shop, confirmed they are having a midnight launch and then went home and downloaded the game client to expedite my install. Anyone else done this?
oh...u mean we can do that?
Yes.
My plan is very simple. A few hours prior to midnight on the 14th I will prepare my system for the install, I usually do this by changing my boot config on my XP based system to make sure that only the essentials are loaded at restart. I will also update all my drivers for my hardware and clear my desk and get my comfy chair ready. As I happen to have time off on the 14th & 15th I will time to stay up all night and game for at least 8 hours. At 11:45 pm or so I will head down the road to the shop I pre-ordered from and pick up my hard copy, take it home and do my install. Then at 3am when the servers go live, I can then be one of the first to be in game. I provided a link to the game client download for those who wish to do the same.

I hope this helps everyone's launch day go much smoother. Now let's keep our fingers crossed that there isn't a massive server issue on day of launch.
I got a copy of the client from family who ordered a digital copy. I'll get my digital key before launch, since there won't be a big event anywhere close to me anyway. First on the servers, wheee?!
Predownloaded it the day I pre-ordered I think.
I was wondering if anyone could answer this for me, is the beta client the full game as well? Or should I free up some hard drive space for the 15th?
Also, 1st post
thanks for letting me know
No, the beta client is completely separate from the full game, it's a different build. There is really no poin on keeping the beta client around. In fact you should uninstall it now, as it's possible that the full game launcher might conflict with the old beta files. Save all that trouble and just delete your beta client now.
