RMAH selling to europe question

As an American wouldn't it be wiser for me to play on the European servers and sell in the European auction house? Both the GBP and Euro are worth more then our currency so I could cash it out and make extra profit from the conversion?

You can't, RMAHs are locked by region. You can only use the RMAH in the region you live in.

You can only use the RMAH in your own region, and just the GAH in over regions. So you couldn't do this.
The country your bnet account is registerd to and your address details, amoung other things like ip address's that they haven't told us about.
This is how the game knows what your own region is.

People would be playing exchange rate games if they allowed this, various legal reasons.

Also, unless Europeans really are richer, the extra fees (1 euro, 1 pound, rather than 1$) will actually make you have lower profits. And that is after you manage to get an account with a European address and possibly a European proxy.

International phone numbers are not hard to get. You could call up verizon right now and have one set up in no time.

The hardest part about getting around it is if paypal allows blizzard to verify your paypal address. Because it's much harder to get a paypal account registered where you do not live, afaik.

They do get your address from paypal, when I linked my bnet account to paypal I didn't have my address on my bnet account.
Blizzard took my paypal address and added it to my bnet details along with my paypal contact number.

Now why would u like to play on the European server? It will be full of the poor Hungarians, Romanians, Lithuanians, Polish people who plan to live from farming money 10 hours/day.

But theoretically could you not have someone in europe register your account in europe for you (if it logs the registration ip) and then you have access to that account. All monies earned will be in EUR or £ and transferred into your Paypal account, then you transfer it to your $ bank account from there.
