    Rate my Wizard Build please

    Well I dont have a current battle.net character so I cannot post in the official website forums. Im looking for people to review my wizard build, let me know whats good, let me know whats bad. Thanks

    plan of attack-

    Spam electrocute + (chain lighting + prodigy) to generate AP

    Teleport + safe passage into the crowd of enemies. For 4 seconds I take 30% less damage

    Ice armor + Chilling aura will begin to freeze or chill all nearby enemies.

    Cast Frost Nova + shatter to freeze remaining nearby enemies.

    Cast Blizzard + Frozen Solid + cold blooded for big damage and another shot at freezing enemies.

    Spam 1-2 arcane torrents + Death blossom for more big dmg

    Shatter effect - killed frozen enemies have a 50% chance of releasing a 2nd nova

    cold blood passive increases all cold damage by 20% making nova/blizzard even more deadly

    Spamming electrocute + (chain lighting + prodigy) after teleportation, during blizzard and arcane torrent - exploding enemies create more splash damage

    Questions-
    after teleportation, would i be better off casting arcane torrent before Blizzard?

    what weaknesses do you see in this build?

    could I have better passives?

    Im split between using galvanizing ward or blur. Blur would reduce damage taken after teleportation to 50%. However Ice armor combines well with cold blood + galv wardz passive and give me decent health regen for 4 minutes while ice armor is active (74,400 health regen over 4 minutes).

    Frost nova + shatter- killed frozen enemies have a chance of releasing a 2nd nova. Does it matter how they are killed?

    electrocute + (chain lighting + prodigy) = gain 4 AP whenever damage is dealt with a SS. since electrocute can damage up to 6 units, can i gain 4AP from each enemy for a total of 24AP? or is it 4AP per cast?
    If the AP bonus is per cast, I may be better off using shock pulse as it does more damage. My goal with Sig spells is AP regen over damage basically.

    Also, I am unsure whether I should use Teleport or Diamond armor. Diamond armor will obviously be usefull in the harder modes, and I can just as easily cast it while running into a group of enemies.

    I agree that having the signature spell be the AP generator with Prod. and Arc. Dyn. (thus also providing decent damage during regen) is a good way to go. I imagine endgame will have moments when you want high burn dam/min rotations. Rotating cute-chain-Dynamo (+ap) with the high dam/min spender spam (ray/comet-pact- insert math here) along with group buffs, self buffs(nova -deep), debuffs (time-warp) and any avail DoTs (eg blizz-storm)makes for a pretty solid 1 min output.

    In general, I think harder content will require good coop. Not knocking solo play, I just think coop will be more effecient at high end.
    Buff sharing and Def CD overlap. Added benefit to coop is less Def skills needed...can add more CC type or another damage buff.

    In general Im skeptical about random effect spells (deathblossom)...they sound fun but when it counts I like to know what will happen for sure. more math needed.

    I like glass cannon over ice....15% all the time on all output > 20% now and then for a few seconds.

    can you answer my two questions?

    1. Frost nova + shatter- killed frozen enemies have a chance of releasing a 2nd nova. Does it matter how they are killed? do they have to be killed by the frost nova or will any kill method work?

    1 - i would guess that would be considered a debuff (the chance to proc on death)....therefore death would trigger the condition (chance of 2nd). so anything that kills it should trigger this i would say.

    2- ya its hard to imply that one. if it's indeed per damaged target, cute all the way. if its actually a per cast thing, I would say Missle-charged (143%) over pulse, but thats probably for play-style reasons. Best I can infer from the tooltip is that is should be per enemy damaged, making Chain legit quick AP source.

    A Frost wizard with no cold blood passive? I can certainly see the benefit of +15 over +20 occasionally. Cold blood is just so alluring if you have a few cold spells. Thanks for the info, think I will go with glass cannon after all. considering I probly wont be teleporting into mobs, but rather approaching them with Diamond Skin as well.

    1 - Since Frost Nova itself does no damage, I don't see how mobs would need to be killed by it to trigger Shatter
