D2 is harder

100+ D3 beta runs, no problems. 1 run in 1/3 part of d2 act1 almost death. And im not a noob. Thats why I barely survived. I was getting hit 50's ranged hits while being frozen. Was a miracle I survived. Thanks to the dumb potion spam system. Maybe I was unlucky. I never compared it to the full game. Just 1/3 of act1 of both versions. I had multiple lv99's in D2. I know the game. Altho I did forgot how silly playing untwinked was. And also thought D2 was easier. But I was wrong.

You are wrong, D2 is easier imo.

You never stated WHAT cave you were in. Obviously at level 4 you shouldn't be out in the Dark Wood.
You should be level 4 before completing Den of Evil.

I mean sure..if you want to argue D2 is harder if you start a level 4 and try to kill Gris in Trist..sure..I guess?
But you can say the same for D3 trying to kill SK at level 4.

Yeah, you're a pro. I really dont care. I know what I saw. And I could probably do it 10 times again, and have zero problems. Point is; it was crazy that first run. While D3 never was.

No you don't seem to understand. Pro or not, I could give a 12 year old child who has never played a game before the keyboard and explain the skills and concepts of the game to him, and he wouldn't have any issue with staying alive at level 4 in diablo 2.

Well, atleast at the start. Just started in the new Hardcore ladder. Untwinked bow ama. So I was lv4 wandering in a cave solo in passed game, when suddenly a bow pack attacked me. I got frozen, slow movespeed, slow attack speed. And my stamina meter was out of juice. So I couldnt kite at all. No panic. Spam hp pots right. Then suddenly another bowpack got me amplified! I'm drinking like 8 hp pots and 6 rev. pots. Before I could crawl to the exit. Exiting with 9hp. Almost died in normal. I was wasnt even naked. I did had some superior armor even.

And then, you avoided death by merely exiting the game. Which proves exactly why you're wrong about D2 being "harder".

Just cleared up to the cave rare boss archer. Took about 10 min while eating food during.
Just used items I picked up along the way.

Video is taking a long time to upload but ill post it later.

Key points:

-No clue how you got to the cave at level 4 unless you ignored most monsters. I had to stop myself from killing things to stay at level 4 until I found the cave.

-The cave isn't meant for a level 4. You can see when I post the video I missed my attack many times due to the difference of levels..but it was still pretty easy..no sense of danger. While that mob pack was the hardest I had encountered in the game up to that point, it wasn't difficult in the least.

-If you were proper level when you go in there, level 5 or 6..it would be even easier and you can faceroll the cave.


-A few treats in the video like me standing around with no gear on and 15 monsters trying to hit me..I lost 2 hp. Then I killed on monster and the rest all ran away and stopped hitting me.

Fail troll fails. You really dont understand randomness in D2. But thanks for making me laugh with your posts. You actually testing this is hilarious. I got amplified and frozen with 2 unique bow packs at same location. good luck getting that.
