What's your favorite monster thus far?

I am liking the ghostly murderer/ghastly grave digger. There is something just sinister about them. Their glow and the murderer holding, what is that a dagger, and looking for a victim to stab. Just evil. Thats old school Diablo imo. I found myself coming up on them in the crypts and just sitting there watching them in their natural habitat like I was on a NatGeo documentary.

It can be the beta or if you've seen other spoilery clips. Exclude bosses, as we all like them$!

The berserkers we've seen in videoclips. I guess they'll be in the deeper dungeons of the Cathedral.

So far, the monsters from A3/4 clips with one huge clawed arm that looks like its on a slinky coil.

They throw the claw at the ground and it burries undet popping up under the player. But like the spikers from D2 lod I guess but the monsters and their animation is much cooler.

The Treasure Goblins are pretty cool. Sure to be the death of a few greedy Hardcore players. :P

I really like the hell flyers, for lack of a better name. I'm pretty sure they were explained and named during Christian Lichtner's GDC presentation, but I forget what it was exactly.

*ahem* I find skeletons satisfying because they're easy to smash into many, many pieces.

Having played the Beta, Grotesque (Corpse Worms) and Unburied are probably my favorites so far. I am looking forward to the variety of Bestiary. Everyone seems to focus on drops and stats in Diablo but I think the monsters is what makes the series.

Grotesques, for sure.
Watching a pack of them blow up their own boss together with nearly all their spawns in a chain reaction was hilarious.

I've gotta say I like the fat guys too. Waddling around, shooting spikes out of their body somehow, then exploding into more creatures. Good stuff
