Does the smart cellphone requirement mean that
- Aussies and Canadians won't be able to participate in the RMAH because PayPal US won't be sending the notification SMS beyond USA?
- Americans without the proper Smart Cellphone won't be able to receive the SMS and thus can't use the RMAH?
Less people to buy your listed stuff in RMAH?
I don't think you said a single thing that's true.
You don't need to have Mobile Alerts setup to pay for things on the RMAH if you use a Credit Card or your B.Net balance (You only need Mobile Alerts setup if you use Paypal).
You don't need a smart phone to receive TXT messages. (At least not in NZ or Aus. I already have Mobile Alerts setup to my non-smart phone)
It's Blizzard that will be sending you Mobile Alert Messages not Paypal.
No need for a smart phone...i have a 11 years old phone lol and there is np to get the txt.
I also live in Romania....WAAAY far away (from both distance and development) from US.
Looks like those of us who want to use multiple accounts to increase our selling power will not to able to without taking out another mobile phone contract as most pre paid phones are not allowed.
Oh well no multiple accounts for us then.
Check it out
Looks like there will not be so many rmah users with this as a lot of people do not have contract phones, from what I've read it seems "some" pre paid phones work.
There is going to be a lot a Pi*ssed of people.

No need for smartphone, just a cell phone that is able to receive sms... w8 are there any cellphones today that cannot ?
Yes you only need a basic phone that can do sms, but the question seems to be that "some" pre paid phones will not work due to security reasons, only a phone with a contract will work for sure.
I read some people are having problems add there "pre pay" mobile phone for mobile updates.
Your face when sms is standard text messaging that can be used on ancient phones.
It seems a lot of non-contract phone plans are being declined for this. Pre-paid or month to month phone plans might not work depending on who you use or where you live. That is going to cause a drama bomb come release with how popular they are.
Yep, this could cut down the number of RMAH users, as you say pre paid phones are very popular just as many people have pre pay as those that have contract phones.
There is going to be a s*hit storm about this that for certain.
Mobile Alerts works on pre paid aswell.
