Hey there, you fine technologically adept gentlemen.
Long story short: My rig can run D3 okay, but I've got a little money overflow at the moment and would like your advice on which kind of upgrade would net me the best results regarding D3. Here's some info about my PC (3 years old I believe):
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
4096MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+
Thanks in advance for any potential help given. I'm looking to spend between 100 and 200 euros for the upgrade. 250 max.

The video card is always the primordial component you want to upgrade when you want to play PC games, then simply make sure the other parts are not bottlenecking too much and you will be fine. As per my usual recommendation, the Radeon 6850 is a good choice for the price and will allow you to play the game @ max settings without any problems. Just make sure your current power supply is good enough to support it, otherwise you will need to upgrade it at the same time. Your memory is fine, your CPU is ok too (although this would be the next component to upgrade but I would need to know your motherboard first so I could tell you your options).
Thanks a bunch! Figured out that my power supply (this thing: http://www.rakuten.de/500-watt-netzt...b-1339859.html) should be able to handle the new card and thus bought the one you suggested for 100 bucks. Seemed quite fair to me.
Again, thank you! May the hordes of hell assault me in a stutter-free, graphically intense way in 12 days.
You are welcome, the 6850 should use a maximum of 280Watts at full load. Since your power supply can sustain 380Watts on the 12v rail, you should be fine indeed. For $100, I think it's a pretty good deal, you will be able to enjoy the game at max setting without having to worry about low fps. Have fun !
