Greetings all I have a special start to the sequel to the fiery runes series today. With permission and help from a fellow fan artist; Softshack. We have the final version of the first locations wallpaper. This is the original file as it is intended. It;s not blown up.

With diablo coming exactly two weeks from today I thought it was a great time to reboot the wallpaper series as a whole. I hope you like the outcome as we trudge on into the future.

Just to add that the runes are all new and all built from scratch. I used artwork from the book of cain pages: 8, 39, and 69. As well as the now over D3 Beta, and blizzard's final incarnation of the runes (Which incidentally are fiery in the game).

I hope you all enjoy this wallpaper, and thanks so much to Softshack for helping make this starting wallpaper a reality. I couldn't have done it without him.

My only concern is that, I'm not sure if you're aware, but the runes on Page 69 are the same runes that the Monk uses when he casts Crippling Wave.

As a result, I can't help but feel that the wallpaper is monk-centric even though the artwork doesn't depict any monks, just because the Monk's runes are featured so prominently :P.

Have you considered a version with ONLY the five skill-modifying runes? To me, those are the most iconic and just seeing the five would look pretty sweet, I reckon. :3

But wow - great job creating all those runes from scratch @_@. And the artwork is gorgeous. :3

Thanks, i did but seemed a little silly. the runecircle has been 33 and 38. tried to make sure they were closer to the 38 mark and settled on 36. Also part of those runes are also used for the symbol on the page for anu and the dragon. Also there were two runes i had to draw moreso than the others because all i had for reference was a super faint opacity. Just look on page 69. There is one that is so hard to see it took so many filters to bring it bright enough for me to barely see the faint edge. And that rune is the 4th one from left on the bottom. Similar to the brighter one to the left of that one as well.

Also this will look a little more balanced come the standard runecircle style we know as standard for the FRS layout.
